My grow room setup - Your opinion?

holy shit you guys know heaps about pot, i didnt even know there were different varieties, haha i thought it was ike growing carrots where you plant the seeds in the ground, water them and then pick them

Mg will work just fine. Dont use a bunch of nutes for the first few weeks, maybe none at all until flower.Did you say kuwait?

the npk should be on the bag of dirt if it came from a store. most nutes do about the same thing i use botanicare veg, pro bloom, liquid karma (suplement), and worm castings and sea tea. another good one is fox farm. the stuff i use is organic so no nasty chemicls to have to pre-harvest flush. i do just give straight water though the last couple of feeds

Looks good kimbo, but i cant help but notice that your stalks and branches are pretty thin due to the stretching they went through b4 ya got them closer.. what that will cause is branches drooping a lot when they start producing bud. I have good thick stalk development and im having to support mine now. So start thinking about how you want to support the buds.. Ill be using yo yo supports to keep mine up, but you can use string tied above or bamboo from below many choices. Just something to be planning on I think. Also when you go to full lights you can expect your heat to spike a lot!!! I would really start looking for a good powerful vortex type fan. Also if you need to keep smells from coming out your grow room ya might want to start thinking about a carbon filter. looks good gl

Thanks hothousemary. I agree. I had to move all the plants out to put in the boxes and I noticed a few of them had VERY thin stalks so I had to tie them up. I usually tie the fallen stalk to the bark of the plant, I ran into this problem with my last grow each plant had about 10 strings on it! lol anyway I have learnt a lesson, next grow the light remain really low and Ill take it up as the plants grow.

Hmmm carbon filter. How will that help me? I dont feel like looking for it right now. Plus its fun discussing these things. Unless you dont feel like explaining if so just say so and Ill look around.

no problem Im glad to help. what the carbon filter does is filter the smells that dank bud produce~! Ya hook it up to the inlet portion of your exhaust fan and it filters the smells. I would look into using some CFL lights in your next grow during your veg to help beef up the stalks. They put off little heat and and you can get them as close as a inch. used with a good hps they will give you a good strong veg.

I have 2 400W MH and 2 400W HPS, however only 3 lights are on at any one time since the heat build up is unacceptable. The temperature stays between 23C to 24C, so its all good.

I am in week 9 of vegging and am planing on vegging for another 3 weeks before budding. Does it look like its overcrowded in there? Are there may be any overcrowding in the near future?

how many plants is that? assuming theyre all clones?

that looks better. i agree with mary get the better fan and a filter unless smell wont be a concern.
give you a little tip if you want to thicken the stems. i dont know if you have ever heard of twisting them. i do it to all my plants. yake the stem and main stalk between your fingers and jently twist them so you can kind of feel the inside pulp slightly break. start at the bottom once a day and work your way up and out to the ends. it may slow growth slightly but you will get thicker stem to support nugs.
it works the same as when we break a leg when it heals it build up calcium to heal around the break and makes it thicker. i have snaped mine off once and i put tape around it and in 3 days there was a nuckle that was twice the size as the stalk there .

you will. i will steak my life on it. i`m not concerned about my smell, my landloard has signed for me to grow legally and i still use one. i could smell them outside the house with windows closed. dont need any unwanted visitors

the carbon filter is not actually any part of co2. co2 is somthing your plants will want when you are flowering! check this GROWFAQ out for a good explanation on how plants use co2.

Thanks hothousemary. WOW! That's easy as piss! With the amount of plants I have in there going out to buy me 4 1.5 liters water bottles. Should be more than enough right? Or too much?

i just tried the homemade co2. it sucks it lasted about three days and you have to constantly recharge it. to me it`s not worth the cost or to buy a proper co2 set up. i will try a little longer though.
