my harvesting method --- first time.

I will be harvesting my plant within the coming week and since its my first time, I want to know if im doing everything close to par.
This is my procedure:

- trim the leaves from the buds
- hang dry upside down in the dark (since i have low humidity, I am going to leave the buds attached to their individual stems for a prolonged drying)
- when buds are dry to touch and stems bend easily without breaking, I am going to finish trimming any necessary leaves.
- Store buds in a sealed jar. Open jar everyday for about an hour, then reseal.

I believe it can be as simple as that, but then again its my first grow and I could be wrong. Any suggestions will definately HELP!!!

- why do i put the weed in the sealed jar (what does this do to the buds themselves) ---dont laugh at me
- do i need to have a fan blowing on the drying buds, or is it not necessary

u dont need a fan on the hanging buds. and also i u should cut all leaves attatched or around thebuds before you try because if u want your gonna be spending alot more time on it, and by the scissors touching the buds and rubbing them after they dried, thc will be rubbing and falling off. Also dont touch the actualy buds, it is said to make them less potent because of al the oils in your hands and because they are very sensitive..

You put the trees in the sealed jar to evenly distribute and dry the moisture that is still in the trees.

IMO a fan is necessary to help prevent mold.

I trim all my buds when I first hack them down then hang them for a week, bigger buds even alittle longer.Then I put them in a jar and open the jar and take the nugs out 1 time a day for 30 minutes for atleast 2 weeks, then I'll just open the jar 1 time a wee after thatk for as long as I have said stash.
