I really don't think the washing machine would change my opinion. My hand mixing doesn't thrash whatsoever. The only thing that would make me want to buy a machine or machines would be commercial production.
I'm not saying you can't get a good clean mix with a washing machine, just saying hand mixing doesn't equal thrashed material if you are gentle enough.

A washing machine is more for ease. No soar shoulder. Plus you have 5 minutes during each wash to fill ice cube trays and water jugs to throw back in the fridge.
I'll never go back to hand stirring.
That hash looks really good too.
