forget the cheapo lux meter. my understanding (which may be wrong) is those things aren't meant for leds, as the leds we use have so little green in them you need a PAR meter, which puts more value on the blue and red than the green it detects and spits out a more accurate value in PAR watts. successive generations of PAR meters have become more and more accurate as developers understand better just how much energy in which parts of the spectrum are most efficient for plant growth. you probably know all this or maybe it's all just BS, but the bottom line is once you go from HPS to LED that lux meter goes in the trash.Well I'm totally perplexed. 12" 38k
8" 43.3k
6" 47.3k
3" 49.8k
So using the conversion factor of 69lux/ppfd, that means at 3" it's 720ppfd.
Some aquarium shops rent them out
These replaced 840W of CMH and 600W of HPS before that. Same result, 1/2 the electric cost. Thanks for playing.
How big is the space? If that lb is in a 3x3 that would be impressive if your in a 4x4 or bigger a lb isn't very good
