how would hydrogen peroxide work on clones? i know that keeps algae growth down, but i wonder how it would effect clones.
I always use H2O2 when cloning - even in soil. The main reason I do so is for the extra oxygen content it provides to new roots. I actually use it at all stages of growth. I pour it straight (3% peroxide from Walmart or Dollar Store) over the soil, enough so I know it gets to the roots. The soil "foams up" a bit and leaves behind tiny airways from the roots to the surface. They'll tell you 3% straight out of the bottle is too strong but that's nonsense. I can water my plants with it and they thank me!
