take em all outside with a bucket of soapy water and wash them all down and rinse good, then put a nice fan on them so they dry out well.

the soot should wash right off
 
it is very important to do that could have gave u earlier warning
and fire extinguishers located in kitchen and basement and upstairs
Yea I'm def checking all the alarms in the next house , although with this fire I don't think anyone but the fire men had any chance of putting it out , my buddy heard some loud noises downstairs and in less then 1 minute the fire was filling the upstairs with smoke, about a minute after that we had to jump out the window

I'm gonna post some new pics I think I prob shoulda used soapy water the first day , I'm not sure if its soot damage or heat damage cause some leaves are just dieing on the tips

was it a gas water heater ?
