I did this experiment with afgan kush all was vegg the same ammount although the outdoor is vegg a week or 2 longer, i placed one plant outside in the sun and i had 2 plants indoor under 600 watts leds, what trip me out is my outdoor was bigger, bigger nugs and look like it will beat my indoor, however in the end it lost so much weight while the indoor is rock hard and held most of its weight. I thought the sun will blow any indoor plant, but why did it fail me?

that's pretty weird. did you notice a difference in density before drying? also were these from clone or seed? if from seed there is a chance that the outdoor plant was just of a lesser pheno. if from clone i don't know what to tell you.

you could be right because they are clones but from different afgan kush moms from seed so the pheno could have played a role plus rep

I grew 8 Afghan Kush plants in my greenhouse a few seasons ago, and 2 outdoors... The outdoor plants had much more leaf and the greenhouse buds were also more dense... No artificial light used and outdoor plants had more sun. Weird. Heres the vid of them anyway > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34k2yK563QU
those are some bad ass huge plants i didn't think afgan kush can get that tall, mines were super little compared to those but than again it only had a month of vegg. how long did you vegg yours? or was it vegging all summer? plus rep on those plants

Vegged all summer in Southern Hemisphere (New Zealand)... I think about 2.5 months veg from seed and 2 month flowering, they were badly rootbound in only 8 litre (2 gallon) pots.. This time im using 18 litre (5 gallon) pots but will only get 2 months veg, subscribe to my youtube if you want to watch my progress i just got 7 Indica dominant clones and will be posting ongoing vids (this is start of our season - harvest in april :)
