Finally, after 3 months of having to put up with the bullshit that Cox put me through with their shitty internet services.. I finally get my connection 'fixed'.
Technician came by today and fixed it. Was suppose to have came last Friday, but I canceled that appointment because my internet suddenly started working perfectly for almost 2 days in a row.. so i thought maybe the new modem had kicked in.. and that, that was the problem.
But then it started fucking up again.. so I made a new appointment to have one come out and fix the problem.
He came today.. and within 30 minutes of arrival, he had my connection fixed and working like it never had before. He gave me a REAL splitter.. this thing, is what I call a splitter in other words! You look up the word 'splitter' in a dictionary.. and they'll have a picture of my splitter on the page next to the definition. I mean, this thing is freaking HUGE! Def. a quality splitter IMO.. which is what they should have given me from the get-go, but ended up giving me some little piece of shit.. that couldn't handle my t.v. signal alone.. LOL.. lamers.
Not only did he hook me up with one hell of a splitter.. but he also re-wired my entire network for me.. apparently the main issue was with an outdoor cable, that runs from the computer rooms cable outlet, down out around the outside of the house and into my cable box outside the house. Apparently that was the main wire where the issue was located.. which, from 10 years of being abused by Mother Nature.. the wire had seen better days and had cracks all over it.. which, once I looked at what he was talking about.. I knew that, that was indeed the main issue..
It's just like if you had an 'open wire' (open circuit) on your cars electrical system. If you have one single wire that has an 'open spot' or 'open crack' anywhere on it.. its going to effect the entire system. Works on the same principle, that's what I'm guessing anyhow.
I still wouldn't and won't suggest my ISP to anyone... they're still a crappy ISP as far as internet services go.
