I got word that the IR might be the cause of the never ending flowering, so try taking that out. Member Repvip has experimented and noted that it takes a longer time to flower when using IR.

I'm having the same problem as you, i'll be done after the long weekend. Hoping for gold.

Treeth thanks for the tip I'll give it a try. Your ladies are looking nice. The stems on the first buds I snipped are snapping nicely and they will be in jars this weekend. They smoke pretty good and get you nice, hopefully they should only improve with time. They have a lemon citrus skunky smell don't taste like much yet.
 
yeah i hope for the taste to come out; i guess thats a couple weeks from now.

I'm not looking forward to drying those colas. I've been doing popcorn, and not only did take over an hour to trim those,

i'm going on the third day of watching them dry... and its so damn painful to watch i can barely keep my fucking cool about it.

I have learned it is absolutely useless to smoke anything even remotely yet... but i can't help myself, as i stated before. Fuck im high.

you got a scale bean? they're ten bucks at harbor freight, they measure down to 1/10 g, they keep them locked in the glass case. fucking great scale. you can find the calibration weight later,

you have to know how much you grew.

Treeth What's happening. I definitely agree that it is pain to sit and watch them hang, but I'm trying to be patient. I put all of what I cut in glass today an they fill a quart mason jar, I didn't weight it though I have 75% of my crop still on the plant. I swear they try to flower, and , flower, and flower until they run outta juice and can't fill in the tops of the buds anymore, and then the growth just looks strange. At least now I have something to burn while I wait for the rest. I'm excited to see how they smell and taste after a week or two curing in the jar. I guess its kinda cool seeing that 4000 people checked this thread out but only 160 posts and most of them are us.
 
Well so far I've gotten 17.5 grams dried bud from what I've harvested so far and that is only the lower 1/3 from 3 of my plants, so the best is yet to come. After 1 day in the jars it stinks like skunk. I'm very happy right now. The only better thing them your own homegrown is your own homegrown kief.

BEAN I, I can never smoke buds again. I need/have to/am compelled/ must smoke hash. It has to be this powerful all the time or none of the time... bud just doesn't get the job done anymore!
 
Yo i just checked this out and read like the whole freakin 17 pages of threads... Your plants seemed to turn out dank as hell, im glad to see those led haters were wrong considering the fact as i bought some just to try out... I got a similar set up using leds and i think im havin the same problem as you were... The leaves are getting crispy on the ends and starting to curl kinda down then up its kinda weird.. Your plants are the closest resemblence to my problem... What'd u do to fix it? Any help would be nice... Nice turnout btw makes me glad i went led..

The way to avoid crispy yellowing leaves is to feed correctly. They like a lot of nitrogen. Also make sure the ventilation is good enough...

otherwise I think the disfigurement is due to too much light in particular spectrums... My sugar leaves are evidence of that, waxy green, healthy, and growing away from the light as hard as it can.

I will post dry weight from my one plant that finished yesterday,

I'm hoping for close to a pound, from 400w of led and a couple of uvb cfls.
 
Treeth...you have 400W of LED on 1 plant? Please provide dry bud weight from your grow.

The UVb did wonders for the trichome production.
 
Well looky here there's a little action in this thread. Been a while so I'll do an update. If I'm doing my math right I'm at close to 3 months of flower! Crazy right. not much I can say they just keep putting on weight, though the tops start to resemble palm trees with no normal budding just pop corn buds at the top. I'll let the pics do the talking. trich colors of all variety from clear to milky to amber, some buds with mostly red hairs but most with just fresh white hairs and maybe a few orange /red hairs.
Treeth to truthful I haven't taken out the IR but I think I'm gonna get off my ass and take them out, because I can't wait much longer. Tell me what you guys think

Nice pics bean!! I didnt get a chance to read this entire thread, but i was just wondering , did you use the UFO the whole time throughout flowering? Im going to buy one soon because its really my only option at this point, but i just wanted to hear what you think about them? From what i see, your buds look pretty nice =), did u ever add more cfls during the flowering? Can you give me any advice for my first grow with a UFO? Also, i think im gonna try the sog method, is that a good idea? I also noticed spmeone metion scrog method? What does scrog mean?
 
Smokemore yes i used the UFO the entire time, and I like the results its just taking so long to finish up and I don't know whether to blame the UFO, the strain I'm growing or myself. When I do another crop I think I'll use more high powered cfls or a lower wattage hps to help in flower. I'm not sure if sog or scrog, I believe they are one an the same, is the best technique with UFO's since they don't have very good penetration. You'll get a whole lot of nothing under the canopy, thats a lot of waste in my opinion. I liked the way the plants I topped turned out.
Treeth how many plants did you have?
