See if youd have added an explanation to your comment on why the 30 amp breaker wouldnt be a good idea we wouldnt have had this misunderstanding. But he didnt say the wire needed to be upgraded either even though he may have known it did. Well now that were all understanding each other, good talk.

A 30 amp with the wrong wires (which you most likely have) is nothing but a safety hazard.
Stock, contractor grade wiring is going to be for 15-20 amps not for 30.

you need 8 AWG wires for a 30 amp feed....this is typical of an electric dryer

The bathroom circuit is likely 14 AWG wires, which would typically use a 15 AMP breaker

using a 30 AMP breaker for a GFI in your bathroom is down right wrong and dangerous

I guess i should have been a little clearer. 30 amp single pole 110 breaker. and the wire is probably 12/2.
and around here dryers are 40 amp and thats a double pole so its a 220 thats code.

Same thing happened to me with a 1000W HPS bulb in my flowering room. Come to find out the bulb was not completely screwed into the fixture. It was threaded well enough to turn on but the bulb would blink out if I used any nearby electrical source. I unplugged the whole system and removed then re-screwed the bulb. Problem solved. Works for me.
