These 2 are my little girls...
Strain: Angelmatic from Moc
Growing space: 60x60x120 Silverbox
Light: 45W LED
Pots: 11L
Soil: BioBizz Light-Mix

First week:

Anna-Belle 07.09 6.jpgAnna-Belle 07.09 7.jpgAnna-Belle 07.09.jpg<--- Anna-Belle

(yeah, I've named them :eyesmoke:, 'cuz it's my first grow and ... I'm a girl)

The last time I've watered the soil was before I planted the seeds, but the soil is still wet and I really don't know if I should water them now or not.

Oh, another thing... Some people told me to leave about 10cm space in the pots (as you can see I did) and then fill in with soil until it reaches the first pair of leaves. What do you think?

Looks good, try to keep your lights as close to the plant as possible in order to prevent stretching. I wait until the first 2 inches of soil feel dry before watering. I like the 10cm idea, first time I've heard that, good advice. Then you can add soil if needed. keep us posted

Thank you everyone!
@Jessy: I'll keep that in mind (and I'm glad you think that was a good idea... I was a little bit down at first because of it)
@Catoblepas: Honestly, you've inspired me to start a growing journal (I was following your thread in silence) and whenever I want to check if my plants are ok I will check yours. You did an amazing job. Keep up the good work!

Thanks alot ! If you ever need some advice just ask. I think you'll be fine, Angelmatic seems to be a very resilient strain, very little nute burn and seems to cope well in even mid 80f temps when its been hot here.

looks good so far but remember to use a 1/4 strength of nutes for the start and build it up gradually as time goes on

I would agree with mr.green123, I would wait a few more days and be very careful when starting nutes. Start low and slow. I am using Fox Farms Ocean Forest and waited a little to long, 5 weeks. I think its better to wait to long than start to early and have burn problems. They are looking great.....nice work.

Thank you for the advice. I will add only a little (I have BioBizz Veg Fertilizer). But I can't wait for too long because they're autos and I've read somewhere that I should use the veg fertilizer for only 2 weeks and then turn to a flowering one. Question: do I have to take a break between fertilizers?

I would only use fertzs every other watering.Be sure to let the soil dry before watering. Feel how heavy the pot is after watering, then wait until the top layer of soil feels dry and the pot feels light. The add enough water until you see a little run out the bottom. My pots are 3 gal, plants are 5 weeks old and I water every 5 to 6 days. They look great so far ;)

Alot of people make mistakes when mixing up their neuts because they only read part of the instructions. Be sure you compensate the size of your pots compared to the instructions for the neuts and at the 2 week mark for autos give them 1/4 strength, then work up to 1/2 in 1 week, then up to 3/4 for the last week, then switch off to the bloom neuts starting at 1/2 strength and work your way up to full strength(FOR YOUR POT SIZE).

Always put neuts in every other watering, this helps even if you make some calculation errors in the amount of neuts you are using it helps keep neut lock from happening by flushing the salts out by giving it clean water.

You might notice some issues later on it sounds like. If you are only watering every 5-6 days it doesn't sound like you have good drainage(lack of perlite). You want lots of oxygen to your roots and the more perlite the better. Most people I've seen do waterings every 2 days or so. I have a bit too much perlite in my soil so I'm having to water every 36hrs or so, but its better to have more drainage then less drainage. Weed plants roots will dive deep into soil to find water giving a great root structure, but if your soil doesn't drain well the root system doesn't have to work to get water, it just sits there and later on down the road it won't have a large enough system to support a large plant during flowering :)

I agree that 5-6 days seems odd. I'm using FFOF at 70% FF & 30% Perlite. the soil seems like it has good drainage. I was trying using a wire hanger to LST, and the soil was too loose to hold the wire hanger. I ended up going with paper clips and taping the line to the side of the pot. Sorry not trying to hijack your thread.

No prob, guys. Any advice is useful. Thanks. I also water them every 6 days, but I don't know if I can do something anymore (I'm afraid of damaging them). I thought that the Light Mix is good just the way it is...

light mix soil will be fine iv used it with good result just start your nutes a 1/4 strength and build them up over time and you will be ok

I watered them too often in the first month I think, now I have a regular pattern to stick to.
Nute wise the Angelmatic's are pretty resilient, none the less go easy for the first few times. Took 4-5 waters to get me to full strength nutes (once in flowering).
