Well, at least that's what my girlfriend calls it. Me? I love it. The whole shebang.
I'm a brand new, first time grower. I may have failed to properly educate myself in terms of preparation, but I'm learning as I grow. I'll tell you what, though, I'm sick and tired of buying crap ass bud from jerks who half the time can't get it, always overprice it, never deliver it, and claim it's the funk. So I painted my thumb green.
Day 16 into the grow and things are looking good, I think. The only signs of trouble are some yellow spots and tips, purple edges on older leaves and new growth, and leaves curling up. This is where I failed Prep 101, for I bought the wrong medium: Miracle Grow Potting Mix w/continuous release nutes. This being said I only mildly burned them, and the new growth doesn't show any signs of being burnt at all. I'm still using the MG and things are looking much better. The purple is even getting lighter, and the leaves aren't curling up as bad as they were. I haven't used nutes yet, either.
Here's a few pics of when they were 10 days old. To make them easier to indentify/seperate, I've named them.
The Gang 10/13/08 from left to right: "Slim" - "Stretch" - "Shorty"
I noticed the stretching right away, adjusted the lights and bought better bulbs. Glad I did, too
Here they are at 13 days. Notice the purple edges, curling of the leaves upward, and the yellowing.

Here they are at 15 days.

Here's what I'm using and achieving:
Closet grow with an alloted space of 1'x2'
3 seedlings germinated in a moist paper towel
MG Potting Mix
Regular tap water left out in a 2 gal container between feedings (pH 7)
Aloha Breeze oscillating tower
3 42 watt N:Vision CFLs rated @2300 lumens ea. (A LOT of research done on this topic leads me to believe the MINIMUM amount of lumens needed per sq ft is 2000. This is based on me finding works on the subject and averaging those amounts.)
Temp: varies between 81-83.5 degrees F
Humidity: varies between 45-49
Can't think of anything else at the moment, so I'll keep you posted. I like to be thorough and think it's paying off. I gladly welcome your comments and/or suggestions.
