The weird thing is that I wasn't even sexing yet. I have about another week or so before I was planning on going to a 12/12 and today I took a look at them and seen this! I've heard of early sexing, but I had no idea they could show sex during 24 hr light cycles. I'm tripping out. 2 of 3 females? What are the odds? Lol.

Glad to hear about the females but I would suggest trying to lower the temps if at all possible. In one of the pics on the last page I noticed it was in the 80's. The plants look awesome but if you make the ventilation a little better the plants would really appreciate it I am sure. Keep up the good work regardless

I had 1 female show before 12/12, it was around 3.5 weeks flowering, the rest showed within 4 days of 12/12, 4 out of 4 females.

Thanks for the advice and the congrats. I've been rubbing my head ever since I started in regards to my ventilation issue, and I can't find a solution. My space is extremely limited, and being in an apartment there's no way I can drill holes of any size or anything. I'm stumped. I tried keeping the closet door open but our damn cat wants to sniff around and lick at the plants, so that's out. I'm open to suggestions if you have any, man. The worst it ever gets in there is 85 F, and the lowest I've ever seen it is 79 at night. What would you suggest?

Do you have a light on the ceiling of your closet?

No, I'm using 7 42 watt CFLs, 3 with reflectors, that are all hanging above the plants. Wait, I just got what you said. No, there's not a single light in my closet other than what I'm using for my grow. No switches, light fixtures, or anything other than a shelf and hanger bar.

I was having problems with yellowing on two plants, so I upped their dosages of nutes and they're looking like they appreciate it. The other one, however, is showing signs of being slightly burnt so I figured out I can't apply the same dosages to each plant the same. Just like humans they're showing different qualities, even though the seeds were from the exact same bag, and thus must have different supplement requirements. Other than that nothing has changed at all. Slim and Shorty are 13.5" and 14" tall, respectively, and Stretch is the lagger standing at 12.25". But here's the new pics, hope you like.

It might be the light or my screen but it looks like you need to add a little Cal-Mag into your feeding.

They are definately looking good since page one....much much better

You're correct, they need some cacium, magnesium, and even a touch of manganese if my diagnosis is correct. I bought some Cal-Mag Plus to see if that helps any, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! But thanks for the appreciation and Cal-Mag suggestion. I'm learning something new everyday and I'm glad my hard work is being noticed

Lol, thanks. The title was my girlfriend's idea, and said she got it from Half Baked I think

id take them out of the mg soil it will cause problems in the future.

...and then there were two.

Today is a sad day, friends. I found out Shorty is a man, so I kicked him out of his home. He's still with us, you know, just in case I'm wrong, but he's not anywhere near the ladies anymore. I'm about 95% sure, though, that he's a male

Today is also a happy day, however. A long time friend of mine visited me today and, unknown to me, he's an avid grower. He helped me with my first clone! I only wanted to do one cutting...half because it's my first one and half because I want all the yield I can get from my first ladies lol. But carrying on the tradition (hopefully) is "Slim2". I'll keep ya posted on how she does or does not. But here's some new pics...

try a cpl baby gates for ur cat problem, they make diffrent size ones, i also beleive i read somethin about u gettin a vaporizer, i did for my first grow to, its actually better to keep the humidity down, but other then that it looks great, im doin my first grow with spiral CFLs, how are you cloning ur plant? i took 2 cliping and put one in water, and the other in peat cube, idk the sex, im just tryin to get the process down so i dont mess it up when it really counts, keep up the great work

Well, as you can see per my pictures I never got the vaporizer because I read the same thing about keeping down the humidity as well. They say if the humidity gets TOO low, below 30%, to lightly mist the plants when you water so as to not dry out the leaves. Other than that I can't find much else on the subject so that's what I'm doing.

The clone. I took a cutting from one of the branches of my bushiest plant, and made sure it had about 3 or 4 leaf sets, or at least 3 nodes. From the lowest node I cut at a 45 degree angle about 1/4" from the last leaf set with a pair of sterile scissors. From there I trimmed all of the fan leaves on the cutting 50%, lightly skinned the bottom on one side with a sterile razor blade to expose the inside of the stem, and placed it in Hormex liquid rooting solution (non diluted) for one minute. While I was doing all of that my buddy made me a humidity dome out of a 2 liter bottle and poked holes in the bottom, filled it with some Fox Farm Original that he had from his own stash (he mixed it with more perlite I believe), and sat the dome in a container on top of a heating pad. He poked a small hole in the center of the soil, I removed the cutting from the Hormex, and we placed it in it's new home...gently covering the hole and watering WELL, almost making mud, and lightly sprayed the cutting. We watered with pH-ed tap water that I normally use for my waterings (left out for 24 hours) but added just a drop of Hormex to the water for the clone. The misting was just plain water with no Hormex. After all of that we put the dome on, turned the heating pad on medium low, and now we're watching!

WHEW! That sounded like a lot but it really only took us about 5 minutes. I kind of wish I took another cutting now, but if this one does good then hopefully I can take a few cuttings from her.

Just wanted to pop in with an update on the clone. 3 days and no changes. No bending, wilting, turning colors, ANYTHING! I'm taking that as a very positive sign that this thing's going to make it! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Here's to carrying on the tradition lol.
