Hey guys, just wanted to show you my lil medi grow.

I'm growing in coco/perlite/verm, RO water, I'm using the full range of Dutch master nutes, with a 400w Hps light.

I've had my share of issues with what I believe to be mg def, and I always seem to be struggling with high ph (I have had to add lots of PH down) but now my girls (I hope) are mature enough to handle more nutes which seems to keep the PH down.

They went pale green with some yellowing early on, I have managed to bring them back to healthy state, but now one started to get a few blotchy pale looking spots, and maybe very slightly on a second plant.
I have been adding epsom salts since my first problem so could this be sulpher or a zinc def? or even to much PH down if thats even possible?

Heres the pic of the most affected plant. It's a Swazi skunk at around 24 days from seed.
Sorry for the white balance, I cant remove it from my tent as it's in a tub.

The second girl is a Lemon skunk at the same age.

Here is a shot of my bag seed under better lighting you can see what looks to be the same problem just starting.

I'm hoping thats a girl, it has powered through some not ideal conditions early on, it has a nice structure, and already smells strong. It's about 12 days older than the others.

I was going to give them another two weeks before the switch, what do do guys think? I just want them old enough to take a few clones from.

Heres a few pics of my set-up. The little fella is an auto amnesia.

My tents a 4x4x7, my in-take come directly from under my house, it's always cool and is well circulated from outside. Next grow I will set up my carbon filter inside the tent.

Any suggestions, questions or feedback are most welcome.

cheers :)

Do a little research. I just can't remember for sure. I think a tsp lime per gal of soil helps balance the soil. been a few years since I was doing coco. sorry not much help the memory goes when you get old.

I would flush your grow medium and get back on your nute schedule. My advice dont add things unless you know for sure what your doing is what you need to do. To me they look ok but if you start adding things to fix something that isnt there that is where you will get into trouble.

Yeah thanks, I will do that. I'm going away for 3 days, so I'm going to flush, and drain my res, and start from fresh.

will see how they look when I get back.

My memory might be bad. But I'll say for sure lime will not hurt your grow. There was a good thread for coco growers at one time had some very good info.

This is my first grow in coco.
I cant wait to go back to using clay balls and a two tub hydro set-up for next grow. I find them a lot better for this type of set-up
The roots have just broke through to the res, so hopefully this will help them.

No, I give them the appropriate feed for my rez (45L) and change the water every two weeks (top up every day) I have air stones and heater for the water, I pretty much take care of my rez as you would for a tropical fish tank.

I havn't done this for years, I used to be very successful at growing this way. I would find once the roots hit the water, they would grow so fast it was amazing.

What your doing sounds a lot like how I ran the bubble buckets. I never needed a heater. It was a pain to keep temps down. Even outside has been bad this year for temps. we are getting a 40deg. temp swing from day to night. Good luck I'll keep up I want to see how your set up turns out.
