Yeah, Thats what I like them as, supplement. But My HPS did not get to me when I planed. So I had to use the CFL until it arrived.

Luckily there are only 2 that were started with the CFL, all the rest were started with the HPS.

But next grow, I will have all the lights I need, and gonna get some Afgan from Nirvana, and some Blueberry from the BC seedbank. Been so long since I had Blueberry.
 
I like the idea of having more lights like your saying,as opposed to just 1 400.I think it will work better also,IMO You should get a better light spread that way.You no me im always tinkering in my shop,and im thinking of making a hood to mount Both a MH and HPS bulb in it and a duct tap for extraction, plus a piece of tempered glass.My MH bulb is big as a damn football almost.I have all the sheet metal and a brake,and shear,plus all the sheetmetal tools.To be totally honest i dont no what im gonna do yet,gonna wait till after the holidays to make a decision.

Ok.....So, there was a little accident in my grow room, One of my CFL Shoplights suspension gave away, crashing down on my crop. I lost half my crop, and that fat one in the milk jug everyone loves, it lost 2 nodes. It was split right in half because of the accident. So, Since that happend, I am going to experiment with it. I am going to get it as big and bushy as I can. I will Veg for about 2 months. Also, 2 of the plants that got killed would have been in flower now, so I took the next 2 oldest and started flowering. It was started New Years Eve on flowering. So because they were put in early, I won't get a big harvest from those 2. But, the rest I am going to veg longer.

I have some new pics and some updates, for what plants I have left, and there age, I think you will like what you see. Pics are coming after this post.

Firstly, I will post a pic of the runt. Because I was suppose to post it awhle ago, but because of the holidays, and the accident I didn't get to it.

Ok, Here is the runt. The first pic was taken 2 days before Christmas. And the next pic of it was taken yesterday. Its not growing really fast, but has gotten alot bigger since the first pic. I will be topping this one. And it will be vegged for about 2 months too. I am gonna get some bigguns! Just hope its a lady.

I really hope the one that was in the milk jug turns out to be a lady too, because its going to be a fat monster! That one is not in a milk jug anymore, I put it in something bigger. The runt is in a milk jug. Yeah...had to use a milk jug, because I was out of pots!

Ok, Here are the pics of the plants that survived. A few got burnt from when the light fell. Other than that, they are going great. Anyways, that wont happen again, because I mounted the CFL to the wall for side lighting.

The first pic will be of the one that was in the milk jug. It was alot bigger, but when the light fell, it chomped it in half. So It lost 2 nodes. Anyways, it is looking really good. Gonna veg it for about 2 months.

Yeah, Gravity can be a bitch. haha.

Oh, I only lost half my crop, so I still have some green. But most of them are looking really healthy. It just sucks I have to put 2 into flower early. I have no bud whatsoever, and my connect is dry. So I am kinda shit out of luck until harvest unless I come across someone who has some bud.

Yeah, I will stop bye now and check yours out.

Yeah, well you didn't see the ones I lost! It was a tragedy. Even the ones that did make it got a few burns, and all of them had there stems bent to the ground, but that just made them stonger.

But they are looking good huh? What do you think? I see some of them look so healthy they could be on a post card. Haha, Now to just get every crop looking like them.

Anyways, I have 2 more Afgan Germinating, and 2 Skunk #2 just popped up the other day. I think only one will make it though, because the 2nd skunk looks like it was a really undeveloped seedling. But hey, maybe it will make it.

So, You like my runt? Sometimes runts develop the biggest nicest buds, So I have high hopes.

OH...and My New Years sucked ass. I spent it at my moms, and her B/F Was a complete asshole, and actually ruined the night. He is a raving drunk. I have to hold myself back from kicking has ass. So yeah, New Years sucked, but Christmas was GREAT. How as yours?

my heart goes out to ya my friend...that sounds rough...speciallythe outta herb part...the holiday was gr8 on my end..very mellow and a blast at the same time...i do like the runt...my runt turned into a bueat!

Thanks man. It wouldn't be so bad being out of bud, but I rely on it for medical reasons. Mostly Pain, sleep, and stomach problems. Not really problems, but No apatite, and when I use to eat in the morning, I couldn't keep anything down. But Marijuana fixed that, now I can eat, and keep the food down, and it really helps the pain. Doesnt really take it away, kinda just makes you so high you don't realize your in pain. And ofcourse, at night smoke a nice fatty and I fall asleep easier.

So because I have no bud, I have not aten in 2 days, and I have gotten shit for sleep. But I have back up meds for my pain, because its Chronic pain.

Too bad me you and somebeech don't live near eachother, We would never run out of bud. I wouldnt have a problem giving you guys a zip, because I know the favor would be returned.

Also, it would be great when we harvested, we could get together and smoke our strains together. That be great!

that would b kool...have a little rollitup smokeout!....i know what u mean by the pain...i much prefer smoking to pills...ive have alot of selfinflicted injuries from riding my bmx bike for about 26yrs...lots of knee surgeries and two on my head...lol..o my, im close to being the next bionic man candidate...lmao...

Yeah man, More lights the better, and right now I am short some lumens. Just awaiting my light to get in.

Yeah, if you can make a hood, go for it. My hippie friend is gonna make me one

I just can't wait to get another light in there. Gonna have one on each side coming through the top, and keeping the CFL Shoplight mounted to the wall this time for side lighting. When I get all that together, then I should get better results.

Big as a football? Wow! Plants will love it!

Really? I also had 2 knee surgery's. And 1 hand. Two on your head? What happened?

Yeah, a rollitup smokeout sounds good! Yeah, I prefer smoking to pills too. I been there done that. With the major surgery's I had they gave me lots of OxyContin, and percociet. And because I had one surgery after another, they got me addicted to the pills, and then just took them away. They didn't give whene you off or anything. Also, my liver is fucked as it is. So I can't be taking that shit. So marijuana it is for me! Nature's Medicine!

as for my head i shattered both eye sockets from under rotating a backflip...3 knee surgs on both from well, being 15 ft off the ground and watching my bike drift away...lol..yeah, pills scare me...every once in a while ill take a perc but only when the smoke is no where around...try taking valerin root when u have no smoke and cant sleep...it has come to my recue more than once...u can get it in the herbl section of any store that sells medicine

Damn, shattered your eye sockets, wonder how that felt! Couldn't of been too good. But out of all the things I broke, the Knee's were the most painful.

Yeah, I will take a perc every now and then. Valerin root huh? Never heard of it. I will check it out, Thanks.

i can say i really do have some screws loose......hey kratos, can u stick magnets to your knees?...my left knee holds em..my nieces and nephews use to throw magnet darts at it and try to get them to stick...lol

Im not sure, Never tried! I will try it and let you know. But I don't have any feeling in my feet, never have as long as I can remember. I can walk in snow with no feeling. Sometimes I have to check my feet to make sure nuttin is sticking in them. Once in a while I pull something out. Mostly tacs around the holiday season. HAHA
