I tried that, but a day later the branch would be straight up again. Broke down and got a scrog net and it's a whole lot easier to manage and less wire to cut and manage, hope it works for you.

Personally I like to use yarn and clothes pins. No damage to the plant and I can still move them in and out of the room. I tried using plant ties staked in the ground until I screwed up some roots.
