So where's the pics of your garden so we can see what your mentor has taught you so far ......my mentor when I was young was a old hippie who lived in one of those campers that are made for the back of a truck .....except he didn't have a truck it was sitting on some shit on the bank of the river on one of my families ranches we use to raise cattle on ....he was actually one of our farm hands lived in the camper watched the cattle for us and grew straight dank and fished all day ......I use to think he was strange living like that when I was young ...but now that I'm older and realize he had plenty of money to live any way he wanted but it was his choice to live simple ....he was killed by a drunk driver crossing the road sad day ....but he was a one of a kind guy and a hell of a grower ....good mentors are hard to come by now days I'd imagine...... it's all about profit and competition and peoples grow techniques are questionable .....he taught me how to keep it simple less is more ....think il smoke a doob in his honor tonight cause I'm thinkin of him got some killer OGK sitting on a long cure il bust out before bed

I've learned a lot from folks here on riu, mostely just by watching and reading what others are doing and trying those things in my own garden, tons of folks on here I'd consider a mentor, even if they don't know they are mentoring lol. But the reason I try new things and work to grow better weed is solely to try to someday impress my uncle. Hes been an outdoors guy my while life and I always looked up to him. But when I was 16 and got busted for planting corn fields that's when I really learned what he'd been doing outdoors all those years lol. Ever since he kinda took me under his wing and helped keep me out of trouble, still won't let me get a cut of his, but he does nothing indoors except keep, so someday I'll have something he wants bad enough!

Sounds very similar to my mentor. Had known him for a long time and was always good for a weed score but I did not know he grew until I stumbled on him and his plants. As his house trailer parked at the end of a dirt road was a quite relaxing getaway I would stop and see him whenever in town. He had a large husky that usually was his alarm dog and usually would bark its fool head off anytime someone approached...except me one day when he literally led me to my buddy tending his grow. It was Disneyesc, the embarrassment the dog showed when his master's look told him he fucked up.
