My MMJ application is mailed. can I go shopping?

Had my Dr. appt, and mailed the paperwork certified yesterday. Can I shop today?

You are going to play hell trying to find a shop that will let you in without the true Red Card in your hand.

Sure, Monday through Fridays, and only for like 30 days (or something like that), and provided you have a copy of everything you mailed in, and your post office stamped proof of mailing.

Thats the way i would go, i have heard stories of people not being able to get in anywhere since the laws changed. But i haven't gone to a shop in a long time. Where about are you located? I know good shops in Boulder and the Springs, not much in between however.

I would try Green Grass in Central City, They carry a lot of 303 gear and i have heard good things about them. They are having a BBQ tomorrow from 12-6, 303 is supposed to be there 12-1. Good luck!

My personal experience, which was December 2012, and admittedly involved a one-stop shop sort of place (i.e., the dispensary on one floor, and doc on another, and a post office down the street), was simply getting the paperwork in order (which the dispensary and doctor basically took care of) and taking it to the post office, then returning to the dispensary with a copy of the paperwork in hand, along with the proof of mailing, and buying. Then, I walked into my local (non-Denver) dispensary with my paperwork.

The Monday-Friday thing has something to do with one of the regulations regarding the time between mailing the application and getting the actual card. Technically, the dispensaries are required to be able to call on the paperwork and verify that it hasn't been denied, which can only be done during the Monday through Friday business hours of the DOR.

Nevertheless, personally, I didn't have a problem buying from those two dispensaries with my paperwork, Mondays through Fridays. Hopefully you'll have the same luck!

As stated, you essentially are limited to Mon-Fri starting at 9AM-5PM

BUT if you mailed your stuff in today you cannot shop anywhere. You must wait like 4 days to receive your receipt in the mail to fully shop

When I had my temp paperwork I kinda got hell from dispensaries... Bitch, you took your time packing the bud in the fucking bottle starting at 4:56 so now you are going to tell me aww sorry I cannot sell you it's almost, uh, yup, there sweetie. It's 5PM Sorry come back again!

I tried to buy bud on Christmas at Pure Intentions but they couldn't process me in since the MMJ division in Denver was closed.. despite talking to the same guy and being there a few times before

A lot of shops will work with you as long as you have paperwork and receipt of being mailed.. unless its a renewal... make sure you do that ahead of time or your waiting forever to buy again...Docs made me quit for a while and and i didnt renew and learned that the hard way.

I just sent my renewal in, how long did it take?

Was almost 2 months before I got a card and could go in clinics with a lapsed renewal.
