DJGreenThumb I support your philosophies on the matter, and I salute you. You've got your head in the right place, and I like the forward thinking you've got going. I will definitely be keeping up with your grow. Maybe once I get out west, I can legally buy some clones from your collective. Keep up the good work.Right now we only have 8 patients and that is by choice. Until we have harvested and cured our first crop and have it available we do not want to take on any patients. Right now it is just myself and my two partners and 5 others that got their cards as a favor, we paid the bill for them to get their cards. They smoke very little but we saw it necessary add them to insure that we have the headroom in our plant count so that we can maintain and consistently provide our full list of strains at all times. The biggest downfall I see with other caregivers is they have a great looking list of medicine but they never have more than 2-3 strains available at anytime and it is often fast dried improperly cured and still sold in a black market type setting. Those guys seem to be in it just for the money. I definitely want to make a living at it but It also my hearts desire to help people feel better and improve the quality of their lives. We are confident that when the time comes that we are ready to take on new patients our high level of service and the quality of our medicine will set us apart. It is a risk we are willing to take in order to provide the highest quality medicine. We are also a collective, we are in the process of finding a several acre piece of property to setup a facility where folks can come and get their medicine, purchase smoking accessories and hang out and medicate in comfort. We are going to setup a lounge area were people can use our vaporizers and glassware as well. We are going to maintain an on site library, have boardgames, Wii, playstation 3, dartboard and a pool table. Out back we are going to set up a couple horseshoe pits, corn-hole, a gazebo and a fire-pit. We think it is important to give our patients a place where they can be comfortable and hang with other like individuals. We want them to feel like its their place. Alot of caregivers are setting up shop downtown and thumbing their noses at the chamber of commerce, we respect that this is alternative medicine and we prefer to be out of site out of mind and think many patients would rather have some privacy and discretion as well so we are going to setup away from downtown. I know I'd rather not have the police driving by taking note of who's care is in front of the dispensary. We hope to eventually be able to offer things like cooking with cannabis classes, bring in a masseuse etc and have member appreciation gatherings where we bring in bands or I have been a DJ for about 15 years and I could spin some records or have an open mic etc. I am really looking forward to it
EDIT: Also, as far as the "out of sight, out of mind" thing, I think this is especially true of Montana patients. California, not so much.
EDIT II: "Broadcast/AV Engineer" You work in digital media?
