Beautiful job VG, I feel you, my buds seem extra frosty this year, but maybe it's just new strains I'm not used to

Your garden looks absolutely fabulous!

And the cats too

Thanks, guys!

I have three Trainwreck plants in the East greenhouse.

They're hidden behing a massive Bubbleberry/White Widow hybrid.

The Trainwreck is the stickiest strain I deal with. I think these will be my biggest Trainwrecks, yet.

Thanks for looking in!

I intend to start harvesting about the 10th of October barring rain or damp conditions. Based on what they currently look like, everything should be done by Halloween.

LOL!

I've been asked that question several times.

There are a lot of dry texts out there that do a good job of getting the facts across.

I like Jorge Cervantes' stuff. Especially the Indoor/Outdoor Bible.

My "style" just has a hard time staying inside the "how to" genre.

What I'd really like to do is a large dimension coffee table book with about a thousand photographs attached to anecdotes(sort of a Cannabible on steroids). I currently have about 20,000 pictures of my garden on file, dating back seven years.

I didn't take pix before that, unfortunately.

Before I began concentrating on Cannabis sites, I was an organic gardening adviser on a now defunct site called "Prodigy". I made a few bucks and had a lot of fun.

I won't presume to suggest a particular soil mix, half way around the world.

Water and nutrient retention AND drainage are the keys to a good medium.

If you want large plants, start them now under 14/10, and continue that light cycle until mid November. Remember, any reduction in day length will cause the plants to begin blooming. Avoid this for best results.

Budding should begin about February 1st, so you'll get about ten weeks of veg, outdoors.

Your plants could realitically get very large, if you start them now, giving the plants about 20 weeks of veg.

An online friend in Oz frequently gets 16 footers using that schedule. The pictures are wonderful.

ahah dont want them that big lol !!! im sweet with 4-5 footers with descent colas.

i dont think i will do all this stuff and ect... i allways overdo it and it turns crap, so i will start in 10cm square pots with 14/10 light and just use outdoor light !!! then will plant into well manured top soil with compost??? - is this good cause every one seems to get good results apart from me :( lol

what do i do !!! fk super soil i cant affored lol !!!! just plain and simple, not over doing it

Any unnuted potting mix will work. You can mix it with native soil to extend it.

Once plants are established, any balanced fertilizer will get good sized plants.

During bloom, you reduce the Nitrogen applied, and increase the Phosphorous and Potassium.

question 3. Do you describe how to stake/prune/tie down, etc. your plants in cages anywhere on this site? I love seeing your sea of buds!

ps. Your coffee table book idea is one you really should do!

I swear Fluffy looks like a reincarnation of my cat Rover, even down to the bit of brown that dilutes the black on his chest. And Sylvester could be my cat Zeus' brother. Strange.

Beautiful plants VG. I look at grows like yours and realize just how far I have to go.

There a a ton of pictures in this thread that, taken together, give a pretty good idea of my methods.

I've done tutorials but these were on another site and were destroyed when that site's owner lost his mind and banned me, along with most of the other accomplished growers.

I got lucky when I asked a friendly mod to remove my 4700 posts. There are still over 600 posts with quotes from my threads....LOL

I didn't want to be tempted to ever go back.

Why did I get banned?

Because I objected to his posting of members real names and addresses when he wrongly accused them of ripping him off.( I know beyond all doubt that he was mistaken, and still refuses to apologize.)

TMI!

LOL

My cage fills up easily, and naturally with four foot spacing. One year I put only four plants with six foot spacing in the cage, and used extreme LST.

This involved planting 3' potted plants at a 45 degree angle, and spreading the branches horizontally until they were spread enough to fill the cage.

Unfortunately, one of the four hermied at the beginning of bloom, leaving a large hole in the middle.

Since then, I crowd the girls a bit more. This amounts to 6-8 plants in 128 square feet.

Here are a few LST pix.

Various photos of LST'd plants.

I have hundreds more but I really need to go through all 22,000 pix and edit them into a couple dozen separate files, like, "Fuzzy sitting", "Fuzzy standing", or "Fuzzy staring", LOL!
