My Outdoor plants

Pic 1 and 2 are from 1 of 2 seeds that I found in an OG Kush bag that I had purchased. Before the pot that it is in was placed where it, is a hole 18" deep was dig up and filled with compost and potting soil. Then the pot had the bottom cut out and it was filled with good quality potting soil also. It went into the pot about 2 weeks ago as a 2week old seedling. It is about to set out its 5th set of leaves and I am considering topping it or may leave it go. Pic 3 is the second seed from the same bag. It was started a little over 1.5 months ago and was topped at 5th set of leaves. I have strings attached to the stems to lead them where I want them to go and have not removed any of the largest fan leaves as yet. There seems to be quite a difference between the growing habits of the 2 plants. The last 2 pics are of a fem White Widow. It is also just getting it's 5th set of leaves.

Pic 1 is the OG Kush bag seed. I have not topped this plant yet and it seems very bushy. It may get topped soon. It is the plant in the first 2 pics above. Pic 2 below is the second seed from the OG Kush bag. It was topped at the 5th set of leaves and the limbs were tied back to the cage. As it grew upwards I topped one of the shoots again. Pic 3 is the Fem White Widow. This plant has not been topped either. I may leave it.

Keep doing what you're doing. They look good. Beware of the dreaded outdoor spider mites and such other shit ass bugs. Ya look to have a nice harvest come fall time. Just watch for PM and micro bugs.

I agree and suggest a preventative weekly or after heavy rain of 1Tsp dish soap, 1 Tsp sesame or non GMO soybean oil to 1 quart of water. Use as a foliar.

2 more thoughts for you. Remove the pots next time. And try a top dress of lobster/ kelp fert. You'll be happy.

Peace and best wishes.

I don't do neem anymore unless raw product for amending. Seems safety was claimed on un processed. Not extracted and concentrated. Still better than true synthetic poisons. LOL.

Nice to hear from you.

I should have said Cold Pressed Neem oil. Which I believe is 100% organic, but I could be wrong. Either way it is always effective n I haven't ever felt like it degraded my quality at all. bongsmilie

Thanks for the good wishes and replies. The plants have now all been topped. Before now the one in the cage is the only one that was topped. I am going to start some LST on these when the new shoots get a bit longer. I intended to grow these plants all organic except for regular watering. This is my 3rd year growing in this location and the last 2 I did not have a problem with insects. Since my wife and I are both retired we are out in the garden most of the day and I am in the greenhouse with a few other plants (Auto's) I see the plants all day. Michi-can there is only 1 plant in a pot and the bottom of that pot was cut out. I like growing there due to above that pic of the plant is a large grape vine that is dead. Once the plant reaches 5 ft. there is enough room the pass it behind it and support plant. Last years plant in that spot got to be 12 ft.

Just an opinion from a fellow dirt digger in a cold damp location when it counts. I'm on my third year legal here. A bit longer in the hobby. LOL. And if in the garden all day? You are ahead of most.

Best wishes. 003.jpg

So here are the plants 2 weeks later than above. I have since the last post found out that I misidentified the plants. There were 2 OG Kush plants but I had given one of them to my neighbour. So at this point I do not know what seed the plant in the first pic is but I do know it came from a bag that I bought. The second pic is the seed from the Kush bag. The interesting thing about this plant is that it is not growing like other plants that I have grown. (See pic 4) Note that the limbs are not opposite each other like they are with most plants. That is when I found out that I did not have both the OG plants when I looked at the one my neighbour has and it is the same growth. This plant was topped at the 5th set of leaves and then trained away to the opposite side of the cage. Then only 1 of the shoots was topped a 2nd time. Pic 3 is the fem. White Widow which has also been topped.

So here are the outside plants 3.5 weeks from last update. As before the first 2 pic's are of the bag seed that I got from a bag labeled OG Kush. They still have not shown what sex they are. The last pic is a fem White Widow. I already harvested my Dwarf Low Flyer and Northern Lights Autos and started an auto Jack Herer and another DLF.

The first pic is the bags seed from an OG Kush bag. She is 6 ft. tall and I know that you can not see it but there is a 4 ft wire mesh cage holding the limbs. I think that this is the plant that I am going to try super cropping some of the branches. The second pic is also a bag seed but unknown origin. I have not played with that plant much just sort of letting it go as it wants. But I did do some very light training. It is about 3.5 ft. tall. Pic 3 is the fem White Widow. Again not much training but I did break a limb that could not be repaired so I stuck it in a pot with some stim-root just to see what would happen see pic 4. When I was playing with one of my Autos I broke a limb off of it also and did the same thing with it. The mother plant has already been harvested, dried and in jars.

Again the first pic is the bag seed from an OG Kush. She is about ready to go to flower, short and bushy. Was only topped once. Pic 2 is the White Widow fem. She has been in flower for about a week. 6' tall. There is a coiled wire cage inside that plant. Third Pic is Brue Banner Fast. She is about 5' tall and only topped once. Almost ready to flower.
