My Patient needs your help!

Here is the copy pasted story I'm throwing around the internet right now. This uncle of mine is not my patient, it is his wife who will soon be (waiting for her to get authorized first).

My uncle has been out of work long enough now that he may be forced to move to Whales with his wife so they can live with her family and hopefully find him some work. He is very skilled with car engines (he worked around the docks in Seattle for Nissan for over 20 years) and has lots of experience working on... T-51 Chinook Helicopter turbine engines (from over 20 years working with the Tide/Pringles&Jiffy/Lumar/BeaconPlumbing Unlimited Hydro Boat team), and can be considered a handyman of many trades. He has been working hard to find another job, taking advantage of all the big job finding websites with no luck. For this he suspects his mid 50s age is the problem, even though he is still physically capable of any work hes ever done. *** Oh yeah, he is also a Vietnam veteran (don't hold it against him please).

He really needs a job so he can afford health care for his wife who has been very sick for years now. Shes suffered from breast cancer, bone cancer, blood cancer, a serious jaw infection from some of her many cancer pills (shes now included in a big lawsuit over this), recently broke both her legs, and she is in a poor/weak state almost all the time.

So if anyone can think of anyone they know that might be able to help him get a decent full time job (preferably 15 bucks an hour or more to support them and her medical bills (but even 12 could do it we think)) somewhere in Western Washington that would be awesome!

You don't seem to understand what I said at all. He is quite experienced and very capable, unfortunately shit happens and people find themselves without jobs anymore. ADD TO THAT HIS WIFE HAS SUFFERED FROM SEVERAL DIFFERENT CANCERS AND REQUIRES SHIT LOADS OF MONEY FOR HER PILLS EVERY MONTH (that could easily be replaced with marijuana, which we are trying to do but they won't be able to afford her health care and house and all that with him being unemployed). Its kind of hard to prepare for your wife getting several different cancers and requiring shit loads of money to stay alive (even with help from The British government and their health care providers) for many years BEFORE AND AFTER HE LOST HIS JOB.

So do you think him having her live on the streets would make him more of a man than taking her back to her family for a fighting chance at getting on their feet again?

I would recommend marijuana to help you chill out, but since you are a member of this site and thus probably a toker already... I guess you are just an inconsiderate jerk (or you've been smoking shitty weed too long).

PS: Who is the publisher for your book? They should be ashamed

Just in case no one has pointed this out. His work with " lots of experience working on... T-51 Chinook Helicopter turbine engines (from over 20 years working with the Tide/Pringles&Jiffy/Lumar/BeaconPlumbing Unlimited Hydro Boat team" needs to focus on who has these, there very old, but Canada has them S & R and there falling out of the skies,.

So find out who has maintenance contracts for the Chinook and call them don't email Call. If he knows turbine's call all helo maintenance companies or some of the companies that scrap air craft.

What about teaching a course at the local colage. My buddy needed extra cash so I set him up at the local colage and now he does 4 classes a week. He could put a course outline together for maintaing your own auto. Auto basics for woman ect. The offer the course and if you get enough people your in.

Fix friends cars and trucks at there place for 25$ an hour + parts. Short term call him the Mobil mechanic.

Use the contacts from racing to get a full time job on a team, don't know till you ask.

Write some articles for online services, they pay 1 to 100$ per

Heavy equipment repair.

Remember most shops have tec's now days and less Licenced trades people so don't let the lack or a deploma stop him.

School bus companies, busses, City works garage, Jay Leno WTF why not Jay builds all kinds of cool stuff.

Join a NGO with health benifits he may have to leave the country but the benifits may be worth it.

Farm equipment dealers.

Sorry he may need his own tools for some of this does he have tools. Tell me yes.

Is his health good can he still lift 3 cases of 24?

Whats his CV look like.

Have you look to see if he can get any vet training?

Have you done a skills inventory.

Does he present well.

Can he read, sorry not trying to be a douche but need to know more to help more.

He should volunteer some of his time, sounds great when your prospective employer asks what you have been doing.

Get his references lines up and get letters that speak to his skills, problem solving, can do attitude, team player, creative thinker, born leader, great beer drinker and never beats his wife.

I need more info

Hope this helps

Well I ran into a similar problem loosing job and all that shit. What I would suggest is to have him and his wife get their MMJ card, grow up to 30 plants and get them on a cycle where he is harvesting 6+ plants a month. Then he can legaly move the bud to Co-ops for around $200 a zip donation. I know it isn't the best idea but 6 plants that put out 2.5 oz a month X $200 is $3,000. Tough times may force you to make a small investment around $3000 into a few grow rooms and supplies and in three months he will be fine. Just a thought. If he can turn wrenches he can grow weed!
