My pH keeps going back up to 8

I just started a grow and have a 20 gallon res and using the same top fin ph down stuff. From what I can tell, it does nothing. Gratz on getting your ph down for a few minutes, I dumped almost the entire bottle of that shit in my res and it won't go below 7.0

I could be having some other problems going on (was running high res temps), but I prob won't be buying another bottle of topfin ph down.
