Thanks PH for the backup. Sometimes I think they should rename this forum FlushItUp, cause that seems to be the answer 99% of the folks gives. There are times leaching te medium is needed, but for the most part you are just putting a bandage on for a temporary fix I bet most of fthese members that are so gungho on flushing do not even know which elements are easily flushed from the medium and which one are bonded in matrix with the medium and are all most impossible to flush out. With experience I guess they will learn the hard way....

By the way PH, you need to clear your inbox.
dood......the temporary fix is foliar feeding...jesus kid...wow....i cant even believe what im readin.

EDIT: and 1 more thing i gotta say why this fourm is no help to new growers....cause this site is more about just goin with the flow, agree and try to get rep points, cause thats what matters right? not actually helping, fuck, RIU has been gettin worse and worse....

You wanna solve your problem? Give her a full strength dose of veg food high in N, that will stop the yellowing. Your plant is gobbling stored N in the fan leaves in order to produce your buds and the many many small leaves around the buds. If you flush your problem is just gonna get worse

Folliar feed with RO water. Dilute your normal nutes and some cal-mag. Flush your medium with RO water and no nutes for a week or so. You have to flush out the lock before you feed or you will exacerbate your problem.

As far as the folliar feed, just spray them down and let them dry a bit before sticking them under the lights. And bumping your lights up a bit won't hurt until they are dry. Don't get the foliar solution on the buds.

Don't buy that piece of crap from Home Depot. Those faucet filters make things worse not better. Either get a legit RO system or buy your water, although your water does not seem that hard according to your reading.

I have to agree that those filters don't do shit, well at least for ppm's sake.. I tested my tap water 314ppm, brita filter 306 and my RO system 6

I know and I'm not putting yours down, all im saying is what I saw with the water I tested... I ran into EXACT same problem as op, TRIED EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN TO FIX IT. You wanna know how I did? I kept my veg food goin well into flowering. It looks like a magnesium def but in all actuality it a common N def

To op, are you growing more then one plant? If so and they are both doing this then you should try a couple of different remedies and see which one works so you don't have this problem again

Hey guys, lets keep it chill....I am going to fluch for a fact with R/O water, and Im gonna foilar feed to help them recover faster and bring in my nutes.....Id like to add a water filter but im in an Apt so getting to the water lines wont be exactly simple....but I do plan on moving and getting an R/o set up though since it makes good pure water for drinking as well as filter out a lot of potential problems since I keep coming across contaminated water articles in my area (dont live in fresno if you can help it lol)....as for the nitrogen deff I think it might be a part of the problem but I will give them a light feeding after I flush and build them back into full strength in about a week.....you guys have all been helpful (yes you too bubblchronic) with helping me put a plan of attack together to getting this fixed....I will be getting R/O water from now on to be safe for the remainder of the grow, cuz I just found a place thats like less than a block away and its like 25 cents a gallon so not a problem for me....Im also gonna set up some stakes so my plants will stop bumping into eachother......btw you guys have soem advice on bumping up yeilds in soil?

tips for higher yeilds? dont spray shit on your plants "solar pannels" (leaves):roll:bongsmilie...any time you damage or clog or whatever your leaves, your losing growth PERIOD...foliar feeding should be used as a last effort to feed a dying plant thats roots are just not responding to anything....your not there yet my man, ahha, but also carbohydrates are big for bumpin up your yeilds, but lets hear some peopel pick that advice apart, but still show no pics lol
EDIT: a budy of mine foliar sprays veg nutes on his clones (because they have no roots) to get more growth during the rooting period, but i think thats still unnecessary
