i have 7 plants, they are all 17 days old, they range from 7-10 inches ,i looked at many outher plants online that are are the same age and they all have more leaves, and there leaves are bigger,my plants are just began to sprout there 2nd set of (true leaves).and there first set of true leaves are only about a little less than a inch long.is this normal?any idea what might be causing this?thanks

Lots of things...too many to try to guess at without more information, and pics to eye it up would be helpful.

add an oscillating fan and it will harden off,
and also you should transplant into something big and bury them down, cutting off any leaves/branches that are being transplanted down

how do you plan on flowering your babies?

i've learned the hard way, less is more with seedlings
also keep temperatures in check

i have pots ready for transplant,i didnt think they need to b transplated so soon,i will transplant them now,i plan on flowering them around mid january with a 400 w hps light and put they cycle on 12/12 light.im sure i will have less plants by then since not all r female plants,so i think 1 hps light should work right?

yes, one 400 watt HPS light will be enough for a few plants, odds are you will have at least 3 females but you never know, good luck
Dr. Jekyll

I wouldn't worry about only having one light, as you wouldn't need much to flower your ridiculously small plants, so you see what they should be like in 2 weeks, you are not even in the ballpark
BTW: no camera, so you go pirate a pic of similar plant? how lame, like you can't find an old cell phone to click a few pics?

Ur lighting your soil your everything matters its important to show pics if you dont prefer to show pics like me just read and so what u think is right without asking as its hard to say if it under 1 cfl then thats most likely your orob
Thats why its long stretchy for 1 example. Males stretch way more then femalew in all my experiences
