Hi Johnny V, do good to hear from u. I have 6ml plastic sheeting I'm able to put on and off for covering. It's starting to get crappy already here in the valley I'm now wondering which tack go take on harvesting! I've been told to cut the ENTIRE plant and hang it like a tree? Or cut branches and hang them? I see the ideas behind both. Also, to trim at harvest of after its dry?Ms. Lady,
Now is the time to be aware of impending rain. You don't want to chance bud mold. Don't worry about 0.1 inch or so over the course of a day, but if we get serious rain, like 0.3 inch or so on up you'll have to do something, although by this weekend it will be back up to high 80's / low 90's again.
If your plants are in buckets or pots, move them out of the rain while it's raining. If your plants are in the ground you have 2 choices.
1) Build a temporary cover out of PVC pipe and some heavy duty opaque plastic sheeting. Don't know how many plants you have or how close together they are, but I built one that covered 2 plants a couple of years back for $40. I needed help putting it up and taking it down.
2) Conair 1875. If you're within 200-300 feet of electric power, or have access to a generator, use a blow dryer on the buds. Wait till it stops raining and then dry the BUDS with the blow dryer. I use the high temperature with no ill effects. Takes about 15-45 minutes per plant depending on the size. You may need a ladder if your plants are tall.
There's more to this growing business than you thought. Have fun.

Thanks budShe can grow and cook. Does it get any better??? Lol your welcome
Didn't you mention a blow dryer before?I would hang branches individually but your right lots of opinions lol. Trimming il do a rough trim when I harvest then go over them after there dry ready for jars and curing I'm interested to see people's opinion and reasoning for hanging an entire plant
Wtf blow dryer no no noDidn't you mention a blow dryer before?
