is your closet near a window because if so i cooled my plants with 2 comp fans and a few meters of ducting the fans fit nicely in the ducting and i had 1 end out the window and the other end going went into my closet plus an air cooled light it kept the temp down for me m8 and it was on budget i got a light with air cooled hood for cheap and the fans were a couple of pound each and the ducting was cheap good luck

its near a window, but i def need a/c , i know b.c its wayy to hot and a cooltube reflector. think i might have to vegg with the cFl's ... until the temps drop here for fall and winter.

a cool tube or vented hood will drop the temps 10 degrees but you have to get a fan also to extract the air from them. I can grow from seed under my 600 hps no problem....it's all about temps bro...even if you can get it to 86 you will be in good shape. if you have any fans then use them to flow air out of the tent rather than into the tent...extraction is the key. if you are blowing air into a hot tent you are basically creating a convection oven of sorts.

thanks, i just brought some CFL's and its 86 now. i will try to fix it b/c no ac on in the home so its already like 86 room temp. i need to buy an ac unit, probably right before flowering . and probably buy a cooltube. i have a 6"inline canfan, but the closet causes it to re circulate hot air.

Do you own your home? I guess it's a lot cooler in Oregon than here in GA, but my grow basically just wouldn't work at the last place that I lived. Had to move.

I have one. It freezes up all the damn time. It'll keep my room down to 80, but my house has central a/c too. It froze up last night, and it ended up getting to 91 in there last night. That's happened to me two days in the last month.

Is it worth getting? what do you mean it freezes up ? can i put a setting like 65 degrees so that when i turn on the light its 78-85 ?

I mean the space between fins on the intake actually completely freezes over so that no air can pass through. It's done this here in the peak heat of the summer here two years in a row. It only takes the temp in my room to 80. I think that you want at least 10,000btu on an ac unit, and you have to have a window near by. In room ducted a/c units and mini splits are the best options, but they're not cheap.

Id say that your least expensive option is really going to be to air cool your hood with a large enough fan and vent the hot air out through say a hole you cut in the ceiling of your closet.
