I just cut down my trainwreck yesterday and the little bit of smell it has is weak.... And like I said smells like grass clippings... Its my first harves so I'm wondering if it's gonna develop a different smell or did the dispensary get over on me when I bought my clones?

they usually change smell during curing process. Also did you wait till the crystals are cloudy/amber? Or at least until the hairs turn brown?

cut off water leaves...... allow bud to pull all the nitrogen from the remaining ones then when the bud is dry like ......I hung it for six or seven days dry you put it in jars and begin the burping process from two to three weeks of curing it will gain the smell you desire young padewon....

I did an 8 week bloom. Most of the hairs turned. And I already trimmed it all. So now I just have it hang drying... I hope all I need is a good cure. Other wise my friend is gonna clown the hell out of me since his shit smells real strong.

lol its normal bro... hang for 5 to 7 days till the stem breaks but not snap if you get my drift, then put in paper gro bag for a week or so for a slower drying period. leave in bag till they almost loose all smell n you will know your at the right time, them jar up n it will pull the moisture from deep in the bud n cure the overall product right. i suggest burping 3 to 4 times a day n possably having to re bag them sometimes depending on the bud density n size. its like fine wine, it takes effort n time but when its done there is no better lol good luck....

Who cares what it smells like as long as it does the job? If he's gonna clown you about your weed's aroma, its all gravy as long as your trainwreck stomps his grow in the fucked-in-half category :P

Very normal, once it is done drying put it in the jar and you'll notice a major difference in smell as soon as 48 hours into curing.

It all depends on the conditions of the area the plants are drying in, I can get my shit dry in 5 days and be ready for curing.

another thing i make sure of is to trim the buds very well, like get a fine pair of scissors and really get in there, trim a bunch of the real small leaves close to the calyxes,it helps.

That's the chlorophyll in the plant. Curing breaks down the chlorophyll. The longer you let it cure the better the smell.

See my stuff dried suuuuuper fast.... Primarily because it was sitting right above a dehumidifier..... Idk if I fucked up doing that... I've been scared to smoke it lol. My buddy that was helping me trim my headband took a few rips and said it tasted like mids....

*yawn*....

once again..

the smell your smelling.. is a chemical called 'Chlorophyll'. This chemical is responsible for giving the product that green taste/look and smell. This is the main reason why you should make sure you dry & cure it properly.. otherwise, the Chlorophyll gets stuck in the product.. and once the product is dried, the chlorophyll is there to stay.. there's no remedy or 'fix' once the product is dried.. and the Chlorophyll is trapped inside. Once this happens, the product is basically ruined.. and you just wasted 2 or 3 months of your life that you'll never get back.

Again, this is why its SO IMPORTANT to make sure that your patient while growing.. and while your drying & curing the product. It's also vital that you make sure you dry & cure it properly.. because its during this time, the plant will get rid of all/most of the chlorophyll via evaporation.. while the product dries and cures.

I would suggest more reading for you my friend.

Best of luck.

peace.

You say it dried fast eh? How fast is fast?

Like I just said.. if you don't dry and cure it properly... your product is ruined. Waste of time.

If its dried too quickly.. once again, all that chlorophyll gets trapped in the product because it didn't have time to evaporate along with the remaining moisture that was in the product.. so therefore, your product/buds will ALWAYS have that harsh 'green' taste to them.

Sounds to me like you jumped the gun... got a little too anxious.

Better luck next time my friend.. because there is no remedy to fix it now. It's too late my friend.

so again, better luck next time.

Lastly, once again.. I highly suggest you do some reading before you attempt another grow. Just my 2 cents worth.

peace.

i spent a good couple of months reading and taking notes before i put a seed in the ground. those things were expensive. i wanted to do it right the first time.

i'm always amused by folks who dive in with both feet and are surprised when things don't go as planned.
