My purps are dry as a bone in two days!! why?

I cut down and hung my Purps, within two days they are hard, crispy and dry as a bone, crumbling. What do I do? it was 65 degrees, cool, and dark. humidty was 40-50% I have a canister filter for the smell and small A/C in a 8 X10 sealed room. Why did they dry so fast? Ive put them in jars to try to remoisten them. Any tips? Will they lose value? smell? taste?

the stems are what matter...do they crisp when you bend them or just bend?

Bonzi and Chubby nailoed this 1 for ya. Take they're advice and seal em in the jar.. open up once a day to breath.. you'll find that you probly have quite a bit of moisture still in the stem that will find its way into the bud again

I will have to agree with the majority here. There is probably plenty of moisture left in the stems.

The same exact thing just happened to me, and now im wondering if i should be more concerned too, crap! Before i chopped em and hung em, the plants were super dry, so i was thinking maybe thats why they dried up so fast. Maybe thats the same in your case? I ended up jarring em after only 2 days cause i was afraid if they got any dryer it would affect the curing process. After 24 hours in the jar, they had ALOT of moister in there. So ya, im pretty much in the same boat as you, just 3 days ahead of you lol. I hope everything works out for us both!
