My rain water (UK) has a ph of 7.5?

I live in the south and checked the rainwater PH (running from the roof into a collection barrel). The water is showing as 7.5 in the barrel, I thought rain water was supposed to be 6.5. Anyone in the south of the uk getting the same readings on their rain water? I'm wondering if the roof, gutters or barrel are adding to the natural ph levels :)
Incidentally, my tap water is often over 8! And never lower then 7.6

Thanks, the EC level of the water is about '028' ppm (fyi - the digital display is three digits long, no decimal point is shown in the reading)

this is still fairly low - I suspect something like this

some mineralic content.
Nothing to worry about. Once your water hits soil, it'll simply & swiftly adjust to your earth's ph.

We got 5.7 rain here in western Pa. Works great with most organics.
