First time checking the runoff with a ppm meter and the ppm is almost 3000 for my 1 week old cannabis seedlings ... how do I change the ppm? And what's the best ppm for cannabis seedlings ?

My medium is roots organic 707 blend just used soil right out of the bag.... and I have never checked my water quality I'm a new grower only been growing for a year how would I check my water quality?

Yes I use filtered tap water and my ppms right out of the tap just clean water is 170 ppm but when I checked the run off for my seedlings it was 4000

Yes it is new pen that ive already calibrated hanna gro line tds/ec/ppm pen. And ok I just scooped up some of the soil and put it in a small solo cup I'm about to check the runoff and I'll send you a picture of what it shows ...

It was maxing out at 4000 when I first checked the runoff tho

Check it again something is off with your measurement
Also since you checked your soil separately, check the water separately as well

Just calibrated it again to make sure and the ppm has lowered to 790

Heres my ph straight of the tap , and heres the ph of the runoff.... also when I first watered the plants the ph was 6.0 5.8 but now it reads 6.5 to 6.8 when I first checked the runoff it was 6.5 - 6.4

I just took random water out of the tap both times I didnt get the exact temp I just poured water into the cup for a run off..

Not a soil expert by any means but I get some pretty high numbers from my soil. Here’s what I’ve found. If your tap water ph is high it won’t hurt too much. Just try to water as few times as possible. Letting it dry out good before watering again.
When I tried lowering my ph of my tap water to 6.5 it was killing my seedlings. Soon as I stopped adjusting it things were fine. It comes out of my tap around 8-9.

Yeah everytime my water comes out the tap it's always around 7.0, I always use the liquid ph up & ph down to get it to 6.0 to 6.2. ... so your saying i should stop using the liquid ph up and down and let it dry out completely?
