Hello,

I posted some pictures of my seedling, maybe you guys could tell me what is wrong with it, if anything. Its really droopy and cant support its own weight. There also is some brown discolouration on one of the leaves. (You can see it in the last picture) I am not a professional grower by any means, i give it water at night and it sits in the windowsil in the day time. its soil is a mixture of old peat moss and fertilizer which was stolen from my vegetable garden outside. if you cant tell by now: I AM A NOOB!

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated

Thank-You

You're trying to grow using only weak Winter sun?...that's why you have all that stretch. Plus the glass in your home is probably UV block to begin with. Re-plant it deeper and add supplemental lighting.

Yeah bro first of all good luck keep it up youll get there......seckond youre seedling is fine .it definately needs to be put in something bigger.....if you have nothing impprovise as long as you have drain hole in the bottom of it....third you seedling is naturally weak from being a seedling use a tooth pick or something to prop it up ...itz normal.....last go find a cfl light bulb ( the swirly kind) 40 watt or better....keep your baby under that...not to close she want to tan...not get skin cancer .....keep it up

im pretty sure my windows dont block the uv rays so for now im going to chase the sun around myhouse from windowsil to windowsil

thanks again

cheers
I'm almost certain your glass blocks certain UV spectrums, they began installing the technology back in the 60's for new construction to prevent furniture and such from fading. The glass in my home is from 1905, and I still have to use supplemental lighting. Try Menards or Lowe's etc...for 9 bucks you can get a 42W 6500K CFL veg bulb. I think the manufacturer is Ecobulb.
