Gett some rapid rooter plugs, put the seed about 1/4" down, take a piece of the plug off the bottom and cover the hole LIGHTLY so the seedling can push it out of the way, mist with water (decent but not soaking the first time, mist your humidity dome cover and let go untill the rapid rooter plug starts to look dry then mist lightly, and at this time you may need to mist the dome again. Wait till they pop up and have first set of true leaves and decent roots, transplant plug and all into medium you will be growing in, veg 2-4 weeks depending on space available and how well they veg, then flower for the 8-12 weeks they need

Periodic mistings may be needed as the plugs start to look dry untill transplant time.

Wow thank you so much for all of that awesome information ! I'm definitely gonna try this my only question is are the seeds I have now ruined?, should I take them from paper towels and move them to plugs? also I have herd using domes with seeds can kill them is that just misinformation?

take seeds out of paper towel and put into glass of water for 12 hours, if they sink and stay sunk or bust a tail, you're good to go, never use paper towels and all that bs, i always soak for 12 hrs then into root riots

Ive always had good luck with this method...once they have all popped you could take the dome off and put under your lights (floresent nice and close is good here because of low heat and they dont need alot of intense light yet) if you dont keep it to humid and have the good dome with the vents when they start popping up you can open the vents to keep air moving or put something to hold the lid up just a bit (1/4" or so) if its not got vents....the humidity isnt really an issue its the air not moving, imo, humidity is good buys you time to get home and tend them when you have to maintain your job.

Oh ive had my best luck with distilled water as well.

Water soak usually works well too but again you have to handle the seeds again

lol my question is what should I do with the seeds I have now lol I will definitely not do paper towel in the future!...chuck! thanks for the info you are sure this wont ruin the seeds submerging them like this after they have been in paper towels for 16hrs now? do you think its better than just staying with the paper towel method since I'm already headed down that path?

considering I have about a 100% success rate with seeds, yep, I'm sure. I f a seed is floating and won't stay down after a 12 hour soak, it's highly likely it is no good.

Im not anwsering because only you hold the anwser....are the sprouts dry or not? Do you want to spend a buck or two and put them in a plug and see if the come back or not? Me i would probly toss them and start over who knows what the stress may have done. But thats me. :blsmoke:

Sometimes they do need a tap to brake the surface tension of the water.....

ok cool ill go pick up some plugs should I grab any hormones to help the process?
The rapid rooter and root riot plugs both have beneficials in them to promote healthy strong rooting, and no nutes for atleast 2 weeks...the seed is basically a little nutrient package all its own.

if the tapping doesn't work, try roughing up the outer seed coat w/ fine sandpaper before you give up on the seed. with prices at $10 or more a seed in some cases, its worth the extra effort before pitching it.
