My seeds have finally hatched ...

I want to place my hatched seed into rockwool but Im finding it difficult to search for info on ph. As I understand I need to soak my rockwool in distilled and ph-ed water.

Can someone be a dear and tell me what my ph should be before I place my seed in the rockwool?

Also would adding a little formulex to the rockwool help the young un, and when should I switch on the floro above the seed?

Ph testers can be bought at your local home and garden store, if your finding rock wool too difficult, try soil


And SunnyDaze - I cannot wait for the weeds season finale tonight im so pumped up, bought a half of OG Kush just for the event,

Im not asking what should I use to test my ph Im asking what should my ph be for soaking the rockwool before I place my hatched seed into it :confused:

is this for a hydro or soil? i'm asking because if your sticking it into hydro u want your ph to be lower whereas in soil a little higher.. that way your seed wont get shocked

Also when do I switch on the lights for 18/6?

if its hydro u want it phed at around 5.5-5.8..

18/6 is vege state.. so you don't 'switch' until your ready to flower to 12/12..

if you were talking about being 24/7 then going 18/6.. thats up to you but when your ready to flower you switch to 12/12..

Once I move the seed from the paper towel to the rockwool do I switch the light on right away or do I need to wait for a shoot?
