My seeds sprouted! Question

So it popped out of the ground with the seed still attached?
yes sir is this bad news? should i cover it with soil?

I had one sprout do this as well. He wore his seed shell as a hat for about four days before I finally worked up the courage to remove it for him. Sprouts are sometimes kinda crooked when they first pop, but they'll straighten themselves out once they start reaching for the light. If the seed shell stays attached for more than a few days, you may want to take some tweezers and very gently remove it, being careful not to damage the leaves or cotyledons.

Sometimes they come up with 90 degree angles with seed tops on their head. I always take them off.
oh alright hopefully it pops right off i understand this usually happens but i was thinking normally it wouldnt be the WHOLE SEED LOL
will it be safe to leave it for a few days or should i get the er tools ready??

Try to take the rest of the seed that is still attached off. I did that with one of my germinating seedlings and she turned of ok.
it seems far to fragile at this point im hoping the cfls being on it all night might perk it up a bit ill keep yall updated tho

I'd wait until it was a little straightened up then pluck the seed off. Many will say to leave it on but fuck that.
cool thats what my instinct is tellin me also lol if i put tweezers to that thing now 4get it id probably pull the whole sprout out with it

Think of it this way... the little leaves aren't getting any light if they're covered up, right? So the sooner the shell comes off, the better, really. When I took the shell off my guy, the cotyledons were all yellowed and I was kinda worried the plant was going to die. It's doing great, though... it's actually the biggest one out of five now.
I've seen plenty of seeds sprout with parts of the shell still attached, but just experienced my first "whole shell" attachment myself, and it kinda freaked me out, too

It probably isn't even attached, just sitting on top of the stem. That's how mine was, anyway. Didn't take more than a little nudge for it to pop off.
i got good news and bad news...
good news is i pulled one seed off effortlessly
bad news is since the first one was so easy i thought it would be the same but it aint comin off and its literally parallel to the soil as in just layying on the soil like a bed with its hat still on

No worries as long as you diddnt break the stem. But good job on getting the other one off!
