My Setup with some added advice

I've been using the Wilma 8 pot in a 1.2m tent. I've had some nice results so i'm planning on setting up a sealed room (if possible) & placing my tent in the corner and using it as a veg room.

I want to make certain of a few factors beforehand and hopefully some of you can give me some advice.

My main concerns are noise & environment control eg. temps & humidity & CO2.

I live in an apartment block with fairly low ceilings. The building is made of concrete but i seem to be able to hear noise from my neighbours downstairs, so i presume they'll be able to hear noise coming from my grow room. My plan is to box up all the fans and add fire protective foam inside plus use insulated ducting and rubber bungees to hang the fans from. Also i plan on not using any intake fans so that i can further reduce the noise from the window. Is this possible? Do the plants need any other gases to photosynthesise?

Here is a diagram. Its not great!! The only additions would be that under the air cooled 600W lights will be 20 pot wilmas, also all the extractor fans will be ducted to the ceiling. Ontop of the 4 way spigot is another fan to extract the air from the fans (to the ceiling)

I've bought the ecotechnics Unis C02 and i have a quite powerful portable A/C. The a/c will be churning the air from the room and cooling the room and extracting the air to the ceiling. Consequently i have realised that the co2 will be useless as the fans & a/c will be shifting it out :wall:

Any recommendations or advice would be really grateful

Very ambitious setup, I like it.

One question, where are you venting all that hot air? Wherever it's going, I think you may want to control the odor first.

If your sealed. That means no intake or exhaust for the room. Co2 will stay. But you will need a in and out for your sealed cooling of your lights. And a fan/filter scrubbing the air inside the room. But it dosnt go anywhere. Sealed is sealed. No air in no air out. Hardest part of that is handling temps and humidity.

Hi, The fans will be connected to a 4 way spigot via insulated ducting. On top of the spigot will be a fan connected to ceiling. So the air from the fans will be extracted up into the attic. Well, thats the plan!!

OK, so the filter just filters the air and recirculates it around the room and my a/c will dehumidify and control the temps... But that would mean that the plants would only have CO2 and O2 in the room. In a real environment there are traces of many gases, which are vital for all of living things, without them we cannot survive. Wouldn't this be the same for weed? DO they become more susceptible to disease or become weak??

Also would my proposal work in a normal room or would i have to build a room inside a room?

If your like me you go in the room 3 or 4 times a day. That let's the other gasses in.

Warlock, you're grow room looks very professional. You must have spent a fortune mate. I'm not intending to insulate the room but i was just going to put up mylar on the walls and ceiling with some panda plastic on the floor ;-) Although i'm concerned about the noise levels.... The room is about 3.5metres x 3.6metres and i would prefer not to build a room inside.. Are there any other ways to reduce the noise except for the ones i named before?

Do you have a diagram of your vent & light setup or would you mind explaining it? :peace:

Yes 22k building the room. But that's walls and power and water plumed up in 1 stall of my gerage. There will be wind noise from your fan unless you get a muffler. Any air pumps make a humming noise. Most of macanical noise can be silenced by hanging from rubber.

My lights are easy. I don't have them in a line. Heat was to much by the last light. So I have a intake side running down to the farthest light. And tee's stoping down to the others. Same thing on the other side but that's where I have my fan. And dump the air in the attic in the summer and into my HVAC to heat my house. There is a filter on the intake so dust dosnt get in my lights. This makes a air restriction so air is pulled thru hoods even.
