my stealth cabinet

okay so im planning on building a stealth cabinet , found a good deal for one on craigslist. my biggest problem is getting air in while being stealth... i would like to bring people in my room again and be able to not worry about the door ect ect. so anyways i took the time to go ahead and draw up my plans and this is not set in stone... im looking for advice. also please no "you should ______" please explain why and how it is better than what i have planned so far. my biggest concern with how i have it right now is the light leeks , i plan on putting those things (forgot what there called) so that there will only be leeks when the air is blowing.

Original cabinet:

this is my idea for the setup. (not including airflow , also put this up so if someone wanted to do some paint and show me something else)

and here is my idea , the holes in the mother and clone room represent computer fans , those rooms dont need alot of airflow , just something to make shure they dont get hot over long periods of time. also thats another fan thats in the mom room.

so give me some advice if you guys have any better ideas. as you can see with 2 fans its not going to be super stealth but i figure ill put some brown panty hose over the fans (for a filter and to blend them in).also i know im going to need to weather strip and stuff im just talking about basic layout. another thing im thinking of is putting a splitter on the fan and using that 1 fan for both the cool tube and the airflow. then there's the carbon filter.... im picking the cabinet up tomorrow afternoon so i want to have a set plan before i start cutting away thanks in advance !:peace:

Dude that coukd b fucn awsome! Plz send my pics when its finished as I might steal your setup:) good luck!! Only thing i can say is if odor is not an issue go ahead. If it is, u may want a small ozone generator, or a 4" Can Fan.

I think you need to reverse the fan flow of the main fan and cut an intake near the bottom in the main chamber wall. That way your sucking out any heat and drawing in cooler air. Don't forget to line it with mylar. It looks good to go otherwise. Oh yeah, you'll have to deal with the smelly exhaust.

thats what happens when you work for 10 hrs on a computer and have free time hahaha , thanks fditty i plan to update this with how it goes. i just have alot to do this weekend so im hoping maby next week ill have time to start on it. Gor , i thought about this but ( i know i didnt say this) that wall its againt has an vent that goes under the house for the ac so if i put the intake fans next to that it would be nasty air. also the intake fans are next to the ac vent that is blowing down into them. something else i was thinking about was trying to get the mother room to vent into the cloning part and vent into the fan room that can have a computer fan blowing all the heat that will build up into the main part where it can all be carbon scrubbed and put out. this would be more efficient since the clone room is better off a little warm to help humidity and those cfls dont get that hot really.and the fan room wont ever get to hot. its just im going to need a good sized clone tray that will probably take up most of the board and block any fan. but then that still leaves the main room to creat and airflow. its like a puzzle , i know it can all fit in there right haha.

here is some picks of whats gotten done so far. mostly just the main chamber because i ran out of days for the plants to be in dark before they start to flower. enjoy and sorry i dont have picks of me doing it but all you missed was a shitload of panda film and tape and a couple of holes with a jigsaw.:leaf:

well after measuring it i found that they wouldnt fit sideways so they would have to come vertical , they will fit in there (tightly , and will require some work). and yeah im lookin at those 2' ones , they are like 15 w each and i figgure 5 or 6 of them. im still having a hard time keeping the noise down.

BUT thats the beauty of a public forum , anyone have any suggestions on silent fans , and or a better way or keeping it quite? regardless of what i do im still going to need a fan that has enough power to suck through a 19" (about 6-8 in in diameter) carbon filter and suck the heat from my cool tube.
