Sounds like it is stretching for light..how old is it...with a plant like that it may be best to just get a new plant started instead of trying to save it sinced it is stretched..also I would get some more lighting..whats the temp, grow room like..etc..

Dont freak about it too much at that point.. just prop the stem with something like a bend match stick or something.. anything to just sort of hold it up there. It will come around and build a stronger stem tissue soon enough. Dont worry too much about your light. I think the problem is normal in this stage.. at least with certain strains.. or plants. I have had the same problem many times only for it to bounce back and become an awesom contender later. Just stay optimistic and see what happens.

How long you been growing it, when my plant hit three inches tall it had a few sets of leaves already, and I am just using 3 75 watt daylight cfl's and a soft white 100 watt cfl..My buddy however had a plant and it was stretching and the stem ended up snapping after it grew for another 3 weeks or something. So just telling ya that if you want too save it, go ahead and try if its worth it..if it was just a bagseed of some regular I would pitch that plant and start over..thats me though

I am growing 100% sativa and this happened to me. Once it gets to about 3-4 weeks the leaves begin to really pile on.

And about the light if you have the means get a 250 or 400 watt switchable ballast MH and HPS. I have one and it is great. You use the Metal halide for veg. And you use the HPS for flower.
