I started my Tangerine Dream on 1/8 at the same time as Reserva Privada Sour Kush a.k.a headband. The tangerine dream took quite a bit longer to crack then the SK. 3 cracked then 12 hours later the other two cracked. It went in around 12 hours after the Sk but made up for the slow germ as the first 3 that cracked are even with the SK. I used paper towel method with almost soakedpaper towels.

My tangerine dream never sprouted hopefully the summer batch of seeds will be better the seed to start with was the tiny and puney And because it was already such a tiny seed don't think they could survive the cold trip to the states from overseas.. By the way none of my seeds germed but the afghan kush Ryder which was a freebie hope you have better luck but as far as I'm reading fromndifferent post everyone is having this same problem

I woulnt soak them 24 hours. Seeds can hold moisture for up too 3 years, if they are older than that then yes you might want to soak them. I have so much better results planting seeds directly in soil or rockwool. Plus you dont have the chance of damaging them when you move the tap root.

I just started 2 of the TD on 1/22 kinda nervous with all the posts of people having trouble with them. I germinate using a jiffy peat pellet inside a 3" square coco fiber pot which i use potting soil to fill in around the peat pellet then just transplant this whole thing into my hydro which works out well for plant stabilization in hydro medium hope these guy germ its on day three

i always use scratch methed since then i get 100% germ rate dont use papertowel straight to rockwool pop in side 2 days also aero gardens are awesome for germination and you can cut rockwool to fit inside their grow anything packets

I've heard about several bad experiences germing Tangerine dream. I wonder why...I'm starting to think genetics. MY TD took the longest to germ put of anything I've ever done, even bagseed. And while germed at the same time as my sour kush, it's still half the size of the sk in the garden. Maybe because of the genetics it requires absolute perfect situation to germ so for the TD people don't overlook even the smallest detail. I mixed a little of my root tech cloning gel in with the water I used. Maybe it'll help.

Td sproted in two days. Use 1x1 rock wool in a dome. I get 100%germ every time . Wring out roc wool so it's damp not soaking wet.

what i did was : put my Tang Dream in a shot glass with distilled water until it sank(bout 14 hours)! then i placed it in a Rapid Rooter, but i didnt put it directly in tha hole thats already there - i made my own lil hole to tha side of tha original! placed Rapid Rooter into Hot House and in about 2 1/2 days she sprouted and is currently doing great!

i had a germ rate of 80%

4 of 5 germed for me.. within 36 hours

used paper towel, in plastic baggie, near something warm

this is barneys farm tangerine dream from attitude i speak of

i had 4 out of 4 sprout tales and 3 break soil, but i dropped the fourth one and most of the soil came out so im pretty sure the seed fell out of something. saved one to pop next grow since i cant take clones. out of the 3 that sprouted i got one with fatter overlapping leaves and one where the leaves dont even touch then the 3rd turned retard and sprouted two heads and some effed up leaves but its recovering i think !
i just used a wet paper towel with bottled water took 4 days to crack

I feel you :) I waited about 3 days, then just tossed the 5th one I was germing. So it COULD have germed, but 4 of 5 germed within 36 hours


I almost dropped one of the pots too! :lol:

I'm also beginning to see some neat pheno types, I'm seeing like 3 different ones.. Pretty much as you described..

How many days did it take from lights ON to your first fan leaf? I'm just curious over here :D Can't do anything but wait


I nailed them with water balanced to 6.3, with about 1.5mL of Root 66 (kelp) added!

Supposedly my nute schedule is looking like: Feed-Water-Water

I'm going to be careful with the nutes, as I hear this plant is sensitive!
