My ph water out of the tap is 8.5. My questiom is if i filter it. Will it fome out more nuetral closer to 7?
Hard water tends to float the PHI wonder why my tap at my new property is insanely high. Only bothers me cuz ph down only lower ph for up to 2 days.
How long will that stabilize ph?You can use this instead of phosphoric acid - this will drop ph with citric acid . This will stabilize water without too much worry. I run high ph in cali and this dies the trick.

How you deal with that aside from ph down? Do you water every 2 days to keep ph in check? My tap water is 8.5 or more also.
You are right! My tap is 8.0
I use white vinegar to lower pH.
I think there is a misconception being had here.
The pH matters for when you put it into the soil.
I feel like you are worried about the day after watering/feeding which is honestly inconsequential.
As long as your pH is In proper range when you feed you should be good.
Using citric acid, pH down, white vinegar will all be fine for the actual purpose at the time of feeding
That's not linear for all nute brands nor stages of the grow.My tap comes in around 8ph and I just add nutes and it drops to ~6ph.
Well if im growing in coco then the nutrients added will naturally bring the pH way down. Sometimes i need to add pH up. If growing in organic soil i have trouble with this and need to use pH down. For some reason in organic soil my soil pH is always low in the 5's.How you deal with that aside from ph down? Do you water every 2 days to keep ph in check?
This is horribly untrue when talking about soilbest thing buy ro water and mix it.Or buy RO filter.
My tap water is 8.6 and ppm is 400+ extra hard water.
how ever you turn if you only use tap water you are half way fckd.
And I grow in Soil!
wtf is untrue? This is horribly untrue when talking about soil
