What can I say. After one week my bucket is all covered with lime stone inside..lol 400ppm is crazy high. i have like 150-200 ppm out the tap and i run filtered ro mix to about 60-80ppm
get an ro systemWhat can I say. After one week my bucket is all covered with lime stone inside..
In 2 months my air stone get all clogged up.
I need to buy new one every 2 months
i wouldnt say "horribly untrue" but defiantly untrue. Tap and soil go great together and lowers the cost. 8.5 is fine for good soil. no need to ph it. Thats normal hard water....wtf is untrue?
Mine comes out of my tap at about 9 I have well water and it tastes amazing but yeah very high ph. I use citric acid mixed with water as ph down.My ph water out of the tap is 8.5. My questiom is if i filter it. Will it fome out more nuetral closer to 7?
same here....complete shit water ....around 300-400 all the time. boiling water ruins your pans. What can I say. After one week my bucket is all covered with lime stone inside..

the soil should contain lime which acts like a ph buffer. youre right. proper ph going in and let the soil keep it buffered. if its climbing in the soil its because of an excess of nutes causing a lockoutMy tap is 8.0
I use white vinegar to lower pH.
I think there is a misconception being had here.
The pH matters for when you put it into the soil.
I feel like you are worried about the day after watering/feeding which is honestly inconsequential.
As long as your pH is In proper range when you feed you should be good.
Using citric acid, pH down, white vinegar will all be fine for the actual purpose at the time of feeding
ph of 8.5 and 400ppm water WILL cause lockouts by the end of flower. the forms of the minerals and deposits in tap water are highly insoluble for plants. that will continue to build in the soil and the microbes etc wont be able to convert it fast enough and it will cause issues.i wouldnt say "horribly untrue" but defiantly untrue. Tap and soil go great together and lowers the cost. 8.5 is fine for good soil. no need to ph it. Thats normal hard water....
As to the ops question. yes it will raise back up while sitting in a bucket. You can add more acid to it and lower it or you can just use it....i would just use it. only ph it once.
use a brita filter. drops the ph to 6.5. or get an actual RO filterMy ph water out of the tap is 8.5. My questiom is if i filter it. Will it fome out more nuetral closer to 7?
Ahh.... have to disagree sir. Im not going to sit here and lie and say im optimal and my yields are optimal but i am good at what i do and i use water VERY close to those numbers with every feeding in soil. The food i use is dropping the ph of the liquid going into the pot but thats not changing the alkalinity much and its sure not changing the medium any.ph of 8.5 and 400ppm water WILL cause lockouts by the end of flower. the forms of the minerals and deposits in tap water are highly insoluble for plants. that will continue to build in the soil and the microbes etc wont be able to convert it fast enough and it will cause issues.
youre right thats normal hard water but hard water is not for growing plants
imo.
some dude once told me to avoid weed marketed things cause they tax. peep bulk reef supply they got better prices or so i hear. i just bought it cause dude sounded rightget an ro system
i use a hydrologic stealth 150View attachment 4852185
super easy to just sharkbite a 3way into your main cold feed and use a shutoff View attachment 4852186to control the pressure.
A prefilter will save you a lot of money.get an ro system

I see two "pre filters" on that setupA prefilter will save you a lot of money.
His isn't an Evolution, but I'm talking one of these.I see two "pre filters" on that setup
Me and my entire grow circle use tap water. In fact it preferred. Not only does it generally cut the need for cal mag but it has a ton of the micro nutrients the plants need.wtf is untrue?
yeah they go so much great together that with bio bizz I have last 2y shitty grows.. First braniacs conviced me that there is no need to adjust ph..i wouldnt say "horribly untrue" but defiantly untrue. on the unit i use it has a sediment filter and a coco carbon filter then the ro membrane. His isn't an Evolution, but I'm talking one of these.

This is my setup. The RO unit has three filters like yours, and also attaches the prefilters. The prefilters are washable and extends the life your carbon filter. They may not make them for your unit though.on the unit i use it has a sediment filter and a coco carbon filter then the ro membrane.
the link you shared is literally my setup but smaller and no ro membrane
