This is unconsequently week 7(day 50) of the flowering stage. Things are starting to near the end, trichomes filling out, brown hairs showing allover, and buds getting thicker, as well as more resinous. I beleive this will be the last week of growing until the famous "chop". I do have some pictures, to feed all your curious eyes. They do have quite a pungy smell, almost fruity I might say. fruity, sweet, and tangy all in one. I think this will be some quite potent buds. Anyway, enough chitchat, here, I will get onto the pictures.
Madame tall, top bud(more white hairs then the other):
AND
She seems to have like 4-5 tops on this man cola.. ^
Here is 2 pictures of the complete plant( I couldnt fit it all in one pic)
Main top cola:
Bottom buds:
This is shorter, more brown haired mother:

Notice the red string? I needed to hold up one of the lower buds because the branch almost broke off from the weight of it. I also have a thin rod holding up the whole plant, because without it, it seems to tip over and almost snap in two..
so I am making the preparations for the harvest, to increase potency, resin production, and as well as increase trichomes. I am buying a uv light tomorrow(40W blacklight tube). This will increase production of the trichomes, due to the fact that it is protecting itself against the harmful UV rays the tube emits. I will use only plain declorinated water to let it use up the rest of the ferts, and so you won't be smoking the fertilizer with the dried crop. I will keep it dry and hot to let the resin flow to protect itself against the heat. I will increase nightime by one hour, and during the last day or two, I will leave it in complete darkness. This stresses the plant into thinking it's gonna die, so it increases thricomes, resin, to try to protect itself in it's stressful state.
So that's pretty much the plan guys(and girls). I will keep you posted on the last week, and the drying/curing stage of the process. The drying curing will take aprox 2-4 weeks. I want this done right to have the smoothest, best tasting bud possible.
Curing changes thc to cbc which have psychoactive properties when left in a cool, dark environment as long as possible. the longer the better. If your not in any rush, it can be beneficial to bury your crop(after putting it in a glass jar, which keeps it cool and dark) for an entire month. Beleive me, you will love the increased potency this brings. If your in a hurry, water curing would be the best choice(if you do choose to cure). Leave the buds in water for a week, then dry in the oven, or leave to air dry to desired dryness. Make sure you leave it in a closed jar for a whole day(after water-curing) and see if condesation forms to see if there is still moisture
inside the bud. If there is still moisture, it's won't burn properly when smoked, leave it dry a few more days dude, be patient!
