My thoughts on the 2016 US presidential election

So how did this happen? There are so many different variables we could talk about that led to this, but I'd like to talk about what I think is the main reason she lost; DNC and media collusion/establishment politics

Donald Trump created an image highlighting anti-establishment rhetoric, anti-NAFTA, anti-TPP, anti-free trade, for the poor and middle classes, for working men and American jobs, the people who've been affected the most by corporatist policy.

At the same time, Bernie Sanders was creating a populist movement within the democratic party where young people everywhere were excited and enthusiastic about participating in the political process. Then the DNC rigged the primary against him to ensure a Clinton victory. Establishment shills on the left accepted it believing that even if she had to cheat, Hillary Clinton would be our best shot at beating Donald Trump, even though the numbers didn't represent that, and she couldn't do that. She couldn't defeat Donald fucking Trump..

These people lost us the supreme court for a generation at least, they emboldened the alt-right and they ended all progress on climate change, LGBT rights, the war on drugs, the private prison industry, foreign policy, etc.

Personally, I think the people responsible for blatant election fraud at the DNC and within the Clinton campaign should be held accountable to the full extent of the law, and I'd love to see president Trump enforce it. They defrauded millions of Americans with their bullshit.


And to anyone who has given Sanders supporters shit during this election; we fucking told you.

We told you exactly what was going to happen. I really hope you learn something from this monumental fuck up you're responsible for getting us all into.

Agreed, for the most part.

But on the bright side, I think Iran's nuclear program days are numbered, probably with only 2 digits.

agreed.that's part of the problem though isn't it? if you're an unknown politician there's 'not enough experience ' and it's more of the same with the career criminals

I understand everybody's apprehension with trump.I'm apprehensive as well. I plan on doing the same thing as if hillary was voted in.Keep working and providing for me and my own,one day at a time.I'm not going to give up because of who our president is.some already have,and it will be a long 4 years for them.

But I'm not like that, and neither is Trump. There will be regulations eliminated soon enough. But we also want to protect the environment. Clean air, clean water etc. The idea is to get rid of unnecessary job killing regulations. So we are counting on you guys to inform us of all the ecological risks involved. We can all work together as a team, and create jobs/energy Independence at the same time.

"Regulations" translates to lost profits.

This was made a bad word by corporations who lose profit when they have to be safe or non polluting.

"Big government" is another catch phrase.

This translates to "someone watching that I'm not breaking the law. I'd rather not have someone hindering my profits"

The answer isn't deregulation or eliminating minimum wage. The answer is applying various financial pressure to equalize the cost of imported goods. Tax, tariff whatev.

All of this overseas labor has simply fueled their infrastructure, not ours

We have been told that a $0.19 toothbrush is needed and such actions would only raise the price of toothbrushes and the poor can't afford them. This is another bullshit sound bite created by corporations that profit heavily from cheap overseas labor. Child labor is preferred, unless 20/20 catches and shames them.

Most Americans would prefer to not have 3 Chinese toothbrushes but rather 1 good one made in the USA.
