If you have too much cash and too much time, go with a multi-part nutrient line. If you're looking for cheap, dead simple and excellent results, Megacrop is the ticket. You're better off buying direct through Greenleaf:

and available coupon codes:

I run 4 grams per gallon in veg, 5 grams in flower.
Couldn't be simpler.
And order direct :)

Just my 2 cents from my grows. Gro-More Sea Grow flower and bloom water soluble is as cheap as it gets and very effective. It is buffered and stabilized at 7 so it takes some extra ph down is all.

Agreed with calcium deficiency. It also appears to be very slight heat damage forming (sides of leaves curling upwards), but that diagnosis may be incorrect without more info.

I didn't see your temperature listed. What is it?
At that time it was 76. Ambient temps hoover at about 78f. I do admit to some temp fluctuations. But that 5 gal is at about 71. I upgraded to 2 600w Mars Hydro LED's from 2 1000w leds (no name brand), but it really seems like the Mars LED's are far brighter... maybe too bright???

I don't know much about LED grow technology, so I can't answer that. What I can say though is that 76-78F is a perfect temperature. I run all of my tents at 78F at lights on.

Megacrop produces water soluble powdered nutrients, so they'll work in hydro just dandy.
FREAKEN FANTASTIC!!! I truly appreciate you. I'm going to use the exact supplements that you listed... if its not too much trouble... could you verify that the nutritients you listed is all I need for a Great grow (all things being equal) . Also... do you find it better to grow autos or photos ... this is just for my own use... i think the dispensary stuff is a low quality.

Anyone can kill everything. As much respect as I have for these demented chemist here. I keep it simple stupid. Take apeak at my grow journal. Just dirt, a half dozen cheap base additives and only add fert and molasses after flowering. But the Grow more line is avai

I kinda thought it was low (from my very limited research) but that GH Flora series nuts are very very strong... and I've burn a few cream cookies just trying to give them a little under half of what they suggest. I'm going to try Megacrop on my next run... it should help in the Fed dept... yes?

Hello and good morning I hope that this post is not too lengthy but I am in dire need of help. I am a first time grower a true 1st time grower Working on my very 1st Grow. Pictured below is "Penelope" a Pineapple Express photoperiod, She is 8 weeks old vegging, and today is her very 1st day I flipped her over into flower 12-12 light cycle.
I thought everything was going fine until upon Closer inspection, I realize some strange markings on her fan leaves. (pic below) now nervous as hell... i don't want to lose her... we only have 7-8 weeks to go.
Stats:
1 - 5 Gal DWC (Kratky method, but now going to air disc and pump for all of flower)
2- 600w Mars Hyro LEDs (couple more plants.. not doing good either)
24"×48"×60" grow tent (tucked in a small wall in)
GH flora series last feeding 1 day ago.
1ml of micro... 1ml of grow... 1 ml of bloom... 2 ml of hydroguard & 2ml cal-mag...
Ph: 5.89... PPM 743 ... water temp 71.1
Humidity 40 - 60 %
Please help... all I can do is pay it foward as I learn best practices.
I'm no pro but I think those spots look like PH fluctuations to me. I don't think its a Calcium deficiency because of how uniform the spots are between the lines of the leaves. A calcium deficiency has spots all over and not in any specific pattern.

I've used GH Flora for ages. Across all phases of growth, I average using about 2/3 of what the bottle says. For smaller plants, less. For larger plants, more.

That said, I'm right now in the process of switching nutrients. For some time now, I've been mixing my nutrients in 15 gallon drums in advance. Since I'm already mixing in batches anyway, with some advice from other members here and a whole crapload of research I've done and am still doing on nutrients specifically, I'm going to Jack's 5-12-26. I've also got some Calcium Nitrate, and Mono Potassium Phosphate. I doubt I'll need the MKP, but I'll have it anyway.

I've got nothing against GH. It works well. I'm just ready for a change, some cost savings, and where I can read the actual quantity of each element in the product, instead of just "guaranteed analysis". All three items I mentioned are in powder form, soluble in water.

You may wish to check my suggestion. Introduced by the owner of a wholesale greenhouse operation. Veg ferts are a little hot for soil. All powdered and easily water soluble. Worked in wet or dry grows for me. Charcoal filtered tap water helps with Cal/Mag issues.

You can't trust the advertised wattage if your buying cheaper brands like Mars. Its typical for them to advertise the max wattage and not the Actual wattage it pulls from the wall.

edit: Those look like the new Mars lights and they started advertising them correctly.
