My Very First Medical Grow - Nirvana Genetics (Organic)

Also......does anyone have an opinion on my watering schedule? I water with plain water every third feeding, in hope that this will keep my soil "so fresh and so clean". I had a buddy tell me to do this, but I'm wondering if this could be slowing me down a bit. Don't get me wrong I'm not at all complaining about my grow...but just wondered what you all thought?

Cheers ~ Gabe

Hey all....got my very first issue, and I need some help. A couple of days ago I opened my tent and saw that some of my PPP ladies are showing some browning on the leafs and some others it is just on the tips....and then some are totally clear. There are only 4 plants out of 10 showing this problem....kinda wierd. I started the flush....I could really use some advice though....please help aahhhhh!!

Thanx
Gabe

Hey all.... Started flowering this week...it has been 4 days and today is day 5 actually. Everything is going good so far. I have had a couple issues...looked like rust fungus, so I have been giving them just water for the last week and it seems to be fixing it?..who knows...my water is distilled so I don't think it was rust fungus?...Any-whooo... here are a few pics to update. I transplanted them into 4 gallon pots 4 days before flower and they are lookin real nice. Cheers...if anyone is even looking anymore lol :peace:

As far as the watering goes..Ive found that a strict schedule is usually unworkable. They'll tell you when they're thirsty..don't be afraid to aerate the soil either. Less is more when it comes to feeding..always give plain water between feedings.

The PPP will get VERY branchy.. I always had good results with LST.

Thanks for the tips and kind words. They just got their first flowering nutes yesterday and just stuck to 1/2 strength. We'll see how they look in the next day or so....they seem to want water every 3 days or so...like you said though, there really isn't a strict schedule with these girls. How did ur PPP and AI turn out? Cheers

So just a few more pics to share my excitement with the few that have been viewing my thread...6 days flowering today..looking nice and strong. I have my light about 16" above my plants...is this too close or far away? Any comments would be nice. :peace:

The one PPP that was giving me trouble is actually my tallest PPP...so that is nice. I have seen some yellowing of the new growth...although it is not stunted at all. :-? Please feel free to post anything.....anything at all.....lol

Hey there again my friend. If your plants are not burning then the light is not to close. If it doesnt get to hot for your hand after 30 seconds its fine. Although I think people keep their lights to close generally. If you have a HPS light and its anywhere around 24 inches its fine. The amount of resin or tight buds you get with a closer light is not that much. Keep it farther away and cover the plants better...dont worry about them burning this way either.

Yellowing of new growth is not good. Can you get a good pic. As far along as they are I would not think they would need any kind of extra nutes or bloom nutes necessarly yet. If ya have bloom nutes sure...switch to them but any yellowing I would say is not because they need any extra p or k yet. Its to soon.
Just let them get through the stretching period and re-evaluate their health. I usually wait till I see dime size flowers before I add any stimulators....I wait till I have nicle size button flowers then hit them with a tea of worm castings, bat guano, eathjuice catalist, Kelp meal and a little mollasas just to get the microbes going in the tea. Applying this tea to a plant that is not completly done stretching and has small button buds will stunt the growth and the leaves will twist and get thick. If you time your feedings with the plants metabolism you can effectivly rev up the pistol production...make the cola heads elongate bigger/taller/sooner and add more weight overall to your harvest. Again..understand I am a nooB grower but this is what I have noticed and the method that is working great for me. May not be for you with your setup as all rooms are different....

I am growing PPP again I do a perpetual grow with new plants flowering every 2-3 weeks. I have all nervana now..PPP, Blackjack, Super skunk, Ak48, Ice and Rasberry cough. Ice, Raspberry and PPP are in veg along with more aks and blackjacks.1 Balckjack...3 ak48...and 1 superskunk are in my flower room under the 1000 watter..all in different stages...all LST trained with between 4 and 6 colas each plant. I need to update my thread with new pics...I get lazy with this.

Gabe...what is your soil again? and nutes used?

Thanks a ton Grasshopper for the tips and shared knowledge. I am using Pro Mix Bx...the one with mycorise in it. I'm using for nutes General Hydro's Flora Nova series. I have backed off a little and just been feeding them every third feeding with nutes and at 1/2 strength. The Indicas are doing fine....not showing any deficiencies....weird. I'm building my veg room this week so I can also have a perpetual grow like you are doing. I have also been thinking that goin all organic with my plants from now on. Have you ever used Fox Farm soils? I'm thinking of getting Ocean Forest and Light warrior and mixing them.......and then adding other organics like you were saying. Have you ever scrogged or sea of green before? I'm thinking of tying that as well. Cheers! Gabe

I have used Fox Farms ocean forrest mixed with sunshine mix and perlite. I used the GH flora series my first grow with great results with my first grow. You can also use the floranova bloom at like 450 PPM every watering. I was doing one at 1100 ppm the next just h20 or h20 + blackstrap mollasas. then 1100 ppm again....or do 750 floranova bloom plus 350 ppm koolbloom. It was twice with the koolbloom...one at 2 weeks flowering the next at 4 weeks...then just bloom nutes and mollasas.

If you want to go organic its way easier and much less stressful (Plus much better buds IMO). I made subcools supersoil and use this as he recomends with supersoil on the bottom half of the pot and plain roots organic the rest of the pot. Of course there is a little more to it then just following his recipe. But if you do go organic its one way to get excellent yeald with no worring about lockout or soil ph or ...am I feeding enough or not enough. The plants have the food always whenever they need them to grow. I have been experimenting with the organic active teas and am so pleased.....I multiply the microbes in the tea till it has a 1 inch dark brown thick froth of bubbly life then I drench the soil and those microbes combined with all that rich supersoil...man those plants just fucking ignite with bud growth. I do this at a time when the plant is just getting sexually excited and is revving her hormones for pistol and seed production. I also use some bloom stimulators that are organic plant based. Have I converted you to a organic dirt farmer yet...hehehe. I have been pretty happy with my grow and exactly 5 people on this green earth know I grow for medicine. I keep safe this way...nobodys gonna come break in my door if they dont know I have anything. So its me...my freinds held closest and the internet who knows....hehehaha....but hey as far as you all know I am telneting from venus to this website. I guess what I am saying is when I get a chance to share my grow...even be it with the anonomous internet...I enjoy it. Im pretty stoked with my plants right now. So so healthy....they are really trying hard to be grand plants. It is sooo true that you get out what love goes in man...so true.

I have never scrogged....sounds almost dirty..hehe. I use lots of string and top them for lots of colas. I will take some pics tommorow and show ya how I have been doing mine if ya want. I get a almost even canopy without scrogging. I gotta book now....plus I get stoned and can ramble on sometimes...hehe so forgive me for crashing through your thread all baked tonight....hehe Sometimes I re-read my posts just to see how I blog when Im ripped. Sometimes I have to use the edit button to keep from looking silly when its just the erb.

Peace out Gabe

is there anyone on this thread anymore?-

if you're using fire fox you need to use the basic uploader. when the upload box opens it's a link in the bottom right corner. from that menu you can upload from your puter or a url.

anyway how are those plants doin nowadays? they should have some nice buds on them by now. don't be afraid to post some pics. out of the 20 insults you'll receive there will be one nugget of gold.
it's worth it.

i'll help if i can. i'll start by suggesting some reading
