i live in town with city waterJust bought a new tds meter I measured my water it says 556 ppm isn't that a little high?
My water runs 465. It all depends on what's making the high tds. I assume you are on a well. Do you have white crusty buildup on your sink faucets? So what do you think would happen if I feed it to my plants with there reg nutes?
you should prolly talk to an attorney roflnope tap water from the city, will this affect my nutes at all first grow went fine but i never had a tds meter either now when i check i thought holy fuck
Hey man thought the same thing until I tested RO water it ran 28 and it said factory calibratedJust putting this out there, but did you calibrate the meter before using it? New out of the box doesn't mean it's calibrated correctly. That and the temp of the water can make a difference.
I'd still confirm it; the calibration solution is cheap and readily available online. You need to make a habit of doing so anyways. This goes for a Ph meter as well. Treat your equipment as if you were in a lab. Each time you try something new you will have the confidence your (Ph & PPM) results are accurate and not "well, I did this and this differently and got this result, but I'm not sure if my PPM was really correct or not". I'm sorta anal like that but, good science depends on having solid controls and reliable consistent test equipment. What meter are you using?Hey man thought the same thing until I tested RO water it ran 28 and it said factory calibrated
