I first used Great White Mycos, since I am on a budget I buy the Xtreme Gardening Mycos in Bulk from E-bay.
It is way cheaper and works just as good. I now put my Xtreme Gardening Mycos in the Great White jar for easy dipping.

Has anyone tried this brand it’s at grow shop by my house n less money I think
I got some of that from a greenhouse store locally but it was the orange one and I can't find the container.

I started using this DynoMyco stuff. 23 years of research in Israel to find the specific species that works best for pot. Tried a couple of identical clones side by side and the one that got a dose was way nicer so using it from seed now. Doesn't take much and if fed with carbs they should keep growing after the first good dose. I use maybe half what they call for. When I repot a bit goes in the hole, gets sprayed with water then the plant gets dropped in after having the last inch or so of the rootball cut off to get rid of the stringy roots. Sides shaved off too if any roots wound around there.

between using it and not using it yes i see quite a diff in growth (faster) and plants healthier in general. i also use microbial mass. much larger root systems with really thick very white roots that smell really good.
do you NEED to use it? no. but mycorrhyzal and beneficial bacteria are a staple in my grows. its important to feed the soil web as well. i will give fish hydrolysate, kelp and carbs (sugars) to feed the benis and keep the colony strong.
i havent pulled the trigger on the great white as I cant find it anywhere other than amazon (canada) and i dont like ordering that kinda stuff through them (shady sellers, bad packaging/storage, etc) i can get dynomyco at my local grow store so easy peasy...

I think G intraradices is a solid strain but not really the best one for cannabis. Just marketing for a type of beneficial fungus that is aggressive and easy to grow. My new secret weapon is mycobloom. I’m happy to share this info now with the crew here because you won’t find a more transparent and science based seller of myco fungi.

“But intraradices is the most beneficial fungi that ever lived…
This idea is very popular on the websites of people who grow and sell mycorrhizal fungi and from web forums written by people who read those websites. I understand why growers promote G. intraradices. It can be beneficial, and it’s a suuuuuuuuuper easy to grow. From a mycorrhizal grower’s perspective it is one of the easiest fungi to work with because it is hugely aggressive and it can be cultivated in 2.5 months, which is great for making tons of products and profits.”

mycobloom uses 7 different types of grassland harvested wild mycobacterium. And because they aren’t cannabis focused product it’s cheap. 20$ for two pounds. Get it.

I hear ya but when roots are chopped off/pruned they branch out like the plant does when it's topped and spreads fine feeder roots everywhere.

This is a 4gal rootball from my last crop. No big roots anywhere and that web of fine roots is like that all through the ball top to bottom to get any nutes available anywhere. I up-pot usually 3X before they go in a final pot and I saw off the bottom each time. In a few days the roots are poking out the drain holes and the plants never miss a beat. I never see anything resembling transplant shock and never have.

Pot plants are tough from top to bottom and hacking off the roots doesn't seem to bother them at all. If anything it really seems to benefit them. Especially if they are root-bound at all which mine usually are by the time I up-pot.

Took a bit of pounding to bust that up for recycling.

I just used Extreme Gardening Mycos for the first time last night during a transplant. Do I need to feed something to keep the mycos alive?

Roots feed them. They develop a symbiotic relationship. The Mykos gives the plant food in exchange for sugars from the roots. It's best to apply it directly to the roots. I like to premoisten the new hole and root ball so the Mykos sticks better.
