P.S. That Nevada bull was shot, last year, by my foster son. He didn't want to shoot it opening day because, while scouting, he had seen another larger bull in the area.

How does the meat taste on a bull that old/big? Tough? Or just as good as a younger animal? Never hunted elk or ate elk steaks, so no idea.

they are actually nasty tasting and the meat smells bad when there get to be older.. and more so during the rut. even deer in rut will not taste as good as a deer in the velvet b4 the rut.. but you can't beat a cow elk, or a young bull elk for sum mighty fine tasting vetials

That big old bull was cut-up into mostly jerky & burger. The steaks were all "cubed", so they are tender and make the best 'chicken fried steak' you've ever had. The burgers are out of this world, cooked over Misquite. Mixed 10lbs of elk burger w/pork shoulder & made some of the best Kilbasa sausage I've ever tasted.

hey all wazzzzzzzzzzzzzz upppppppppppp. well the buds are here. plants looking good. sum mite problem but i think i got it licked..
as for hunting no blood in my new truck yet, close though. just missed a buck by a couple inches.. been chasing the elk around, and man oh man what fun.. im beating the brush every day. success comes persistence.

ahh i hate mites, im tellin you get some ladybugs in theri they work as preventer's and great eradicators if mites.
and im sure you will get them elk soon. i just bought a smoker today and here ina few days i am going to smoke some trout salmon, and some fresh tuna

just stopping in nto say the girls are great, the buds seem to be slow gight now. shity weather here on the coast, but all in all they are producing.. i'll do a video in a couple of days.. pics are hard to take cuz of the cramped space.. thanks for stopping by..
