does it make that much difference to use Mylar or whatever?
i mean if i have a big light in a wardrobe/cupboard, and then add mylar, what difference will i notice?
or if i just cover walls with tin foil ?

no dont use tin foil,,,,mylar reflects light it doesnt absorb it so ya plants will get more light which should speed up growth,,,,,,you could just paint the walls flat white,,,,,,

I have an unused closet with white walls. you CAN use foil if you turn it dull side out. this diffuses the reflectiveness so there are no hot spots like if you were to put it shiny side out., but white walls are better, Mylar is best due to its highly reflective properties. it also does not create hot spots as does foil, but may be hard to find, I am having a prob locating it by me, so I just have white walls but they work just fine.

i use mylar (the thicker more expensive kind) and found it difficult to hang correctly and a pain in the ass to clean. It is a great reflective surface but if i were doing it again, I would probably either just use flat white paint or use panda plastic.

i get my supplies online so finding things usually isn't a problem.

foil might LOOK like it has a dull side, but the properties are totaly the same.
why does it apear to have a dull side? Because of the mechanical machines that press the sheets into thickness, nothing more.
aluminum Foil is a heat deflector not a lumens reflecter, much like a mirror.
As stated the best all around is panda.Mylar is very hard to hang and clean.I did read that mylar does have the highest lumens reflecter %.

you are lossing lumens with nothing, so either would be better.
what mylar claims and what is fact, I don't know...
google ur question is ur best bet.
if you get find a good answer on % rate of lumens reflected panda V mylar
post it here.
