Hey mineralz, I currently have the bubblponics system on order. My system is going to have to sit on the floor. Would you care to explain how you go about draining the old water out?

Yea they're really taking off. We're actually in the process of making another tote for these 4. We're gonna leave the smallest one and the biggest one in the current system and move the other 2 so they can have more room

Hi mustang
Thanx for checkin out the thread! Currently we're just removing the lid and taking the top part of the actual water pump out. We just do it as a duo. When they first started and had smaller root systems it was easy to work around. When they get bigger tho I'm going to take Roseman's advice and get another piece of plastic tubing to hook up to the water pump(acts like a sump pump) and pump the old water out. We also considered just installing our own drain valve I can take some pics next rez change to be more specific. Happy growing!mustang1886

Supz Demon. Kyla's sex is unknown thusfar. We DO know that she is a Royal Hash plant. The other 3 we KNOW are females(or they were feminized at least) but we just dont know the strain. We're gonna have to wait until we flower them so we can compare pics of buds and whatnot. I'm prolly gonna make a game out of it

Hey all. Made a 2nd tote a couple days ago. Air pump is starting to take a crap on us so we had to go buy a new one
Luckily theres a nifty pet shop in town. Picked up a Tetra Whisper 60G pump with dual-port Got another 12" airstone for the 2nd tote and got all that done. Also gave the girlz a topping and a haircut. Trimmed the lower 2" or so off. The leaves were literally so big and heavy they were drooping over the totes. I got all that done and realized I didnt have my effing camera. Im still kinda pissed bout that actually. All 4 of them looked pretty good. Will post more pics tomorrow!

I was gonna wait until May 14th to start 12/12, but I think they'd be huge. I'm honestly considering starting them on 12/12 next week. Its so weird you mentioned a screen because I am REALLY considering it I've never grown before let alone a SCROG, but we really are leaning towards a SCROG flower. Thanx for swingin by man. Glad to hear your input!

Kyla as of today. She took the trimming well. Nodes and stuff are nice and compact mostly.

Its the baby!! lulz. She's healthy as can be it seems, but she's just so tiny.
The other 2 females. Nice and bushy. The back one is a little wider, but not by much. We're really considering trying a SCROG out. Nice compact space like this would do well I would think. Flowering might happen sooner than we thought lulz. Next week may be it. Thanx to everyone who's viewed my thread. Much appreciated. Info and tips would be great! Happy Growing!

So today was exciting. Got the rest of our supplies for our clones and our room!!! WOOOOT Rearranged some stuff with the tent so we could start the construction. The ladiez looked fabulous today! I was a little paranoid about the trimming and the topping, but I do believe it worked out okay because the bushing they did over the next 48 hours is nothing short of insane! I'm also on the hunt for preflower signs with Kyla especially. The other 2 females are pretty much the same size as Kyla now and even the "baby" showed HUGE growth!! When we made the 2nd tote we were VERY skiddish of the lids. I think I may have added a little too much Thrive Alive B1 Red. It says "red", but its actually like a dark dark brown. Some brownish slimy stuff accumulated on the roots of the 2 ladiez and I was kinda freaked. Luckily today they were back to white with a hint of brown, but nowhere near as "dirty" as they looked so I felt relieved. I figured it was just the B1 dyeing the roots, but still....nywayz. All of the girlz made great headway with the trimming. Everything looked SOO bushy today it was unreal. Cant wait to post pics! By the way...Im going to try to get close-ups of the girlz from now on so if I need help finding signs of preflower some peepz on here could be kind enough of pointing it out? At the moment, we have our flower date set for the 14th of this month. That would be roughly 7 weeks of veg for Kyla and at least 5 weeks for the other three. The baby we're not sure about. Heres Kyla as of today As you can see from the pics a couple days ago, her nodes and new growth are insanely bushy and close. Tried to get some decent up-close pics. She's roughly 10" tall now and well over 12" wide. Definately wider than taller is the case on all the ladiez thusfar. Started construction of the room today!! Got all our foamboard mounted mostly. Gonna do the floor as well. Basically what we're gonna do is line up our plants in a single-file line next to each other when we flower them. This will free up the tent for other things In total I think the new space measures 7' long x 3' wide(deep) x 6.5' tall. Got 100' of mylar because it was so cheap. Extra never hurt nyone I dont think lulz. We're thinking now that we're going to be doing at least 4 in Veg and at least 4 in Flower once we get everything rolling. Have to pick up another light and whatnot soon, but we have rockwool and net pots galore now. Xcited!

Here are pics of the 2 bigger females. They are pretty much the same size IF NOT bigger than Kyla by a hair. One of them bushed out a little more than the other, but the trimming and topping seem to go well. The main shoots obviously split into 2 and Im sure you can see them in the pics somewhere. We'll be taking clones from the 2 bigger females next week
Heres the "baby" girl. She's fluffing up nicely I have to say. Her roots are going a little insane now lulz. Stunted growth sucks, but at least she's alive. We'll probably wait for a little longer to flower her. She'll prolly go into the DIY bubbler we started Kyla off in for a couple weeks or however long it takes her to get a little bigger. Better safe than sorry I guess. Altogether everything is going smoothly

We did decide today that we will start flowering the 3 bigger ones next week! Havent decided the day for sure yet, but I'll definately keep it posted. I'm seeing the little hairs everywhere, but its kinda hard to tell if they're leaves forming or signs of preflower. Help would be great if anyone can tell from my pics. I do know that there are ZERO signs of pollen sacks and whatnot. Invested in a 420Scope and cant wait til it gets here! Thanx for readin all. 1100 views in a little over a month! I'm thrilled! WOW man that some nice looking stuff. I am doing something wrong but im not sure what the issues are. Ive got the same bubble kit and started 5 days after you did and my plants look like garbage hehe. First time hydro grow for me and kicking my ass. I was wondering if you would mind sharing your nutes and maybe a quick explanation of how you mix and measure them. I also wondered if your using RO water or distilled. Ive been using RO because I bought some distilled and it was 9.0 ph which i thought was odd so i didnt use it. One last question...my RO water reads 240 ppm....do i only raise it by 60 ppm with nutes to hit the desired 300 or do I ignore whatever is in the water to begin with. Id apreciate any advise you could give. Im just about to scrap the first batch and start again.

Beaut. Personally I use distilled water. Perfect 7.0 every time. Not sure on that nutes question, maybe Mineralz knows. @Minz - they really blew up this past week, no? Mine too. Just started seeing the formation of first buds. Hoping these autoflowers of mine pack a punch when done. Have any idea how to do a THC percentage test? My seed bank is claiming they'll be 20%.

As for your ?s...this is our first grow as well. We used regular purified water to germinate our seeds and stuff. The PH of that was 5.0 exactly so it worked out fine. When we moved them into the big bubbler we just went with regular tap water. The PPMz of it were roughly 150 or so. Some growers use RO for the best possible results, but we're not to that level yet With nutez I would recommend the BC Recipe For Success Starter Kit. It came with Boost, Grow, Bloom, Root 66, Sugar Daddy, Thrive Alive B-1 Red/Green both, MagiCal, Awesome Blossoms, and a small thing of cloning gel. I paid $37 for it off Amazon. It came with a feeding chart as well although you never want to start off with full-strength nutes. I dont think I'll ever personally use the powder nutrients that came with the Stealth Hydro kit because they dont dissolve well for some reason. I like the idea of sticking with liquid nutrients and plain water. As for the PPM and the adding nutes question....our BASE PPM level with just tap water is around 150. When your girlz are young they dont need as much food compared to water. I started out with 100ppmz of nutes + the water = 250. So you're right in thinking that you add your water's ppmz with your nutrient ppms At least thats the way my girlz have been grown thusfar. Another thing before I forget...DO NOT USE the water pump when you first start off. Overwatering is a big deal thats easily forgotten. I didnt start keeping it on 24/7 until roughly the end of Week 2 or so. By then they'll be eating regularly and be used to their habitat. Hope this helps. Thanx for checkin out my thread!! DAY 37 FROM SEED (KYLA) LAST DAY OF VEG BEFORE 16-24HR DARK PERIOD
So heres Kyla at 4PM today. Canopy on her is nice and fluffy all the way around. Tried to get a shot of where we topped her last week. The 2 shoots are really visible now and I'm seeing more of the V-looking hairs. Hoping and praying it doesnt turn out to be male, but I hope our seed supplier was kind enough to throw in FEMINIZED bonus seeds since we ordered a FEMINIZED mix to begin with. Really excited with it tho. Im still waiting on my magnifying glass/scope unfortunately, but I'll deal. Topped off and refreshed the rez with nutes today. PPMz in total were roughly 750. I'm trying to go a little light because the baby one is in Kyla's rez. They both seem to be doing okay so far.
3 FEMALES (Day 25ish)
Heres the 2 bigger females. The pictures are in order as well. Gave them a bit of a trimming today. Removed 4 BIG ass leaves towards the upper canopy. They were blocking quite a bit of light from the lower branches and with all the nodes on them being so compact I felt it was for the greater good They seem to be responding nicely to the topping as well! I was kinda sketchy because I'm a newb and didnt wanna F it up, but the main stalk definately split nicely and the growth is amazing! They've all been drinking a lot more. Topped off the rez' today and refreshed the nutes. I think I may have over-nuted these 2 on accident I meant to add TSP to the rez and it was TBS. I do KNOW that they got more Boost and Grow. Everything else was in uniform so I hope they suck it up nicely. We'll see. The PPMz in total ran around 1000, but the base PPMz of my tapwater is 198-205. So they got an 800PPM dose of nutes today. They were at like 347 when I checked them so they've been really hungry. I hope it all plays out. Next..
Heres the runt of the bunch She's solid and short, but just she's definately doing some growing. With her small size, her branches and nodes are SOOOO compact and fluffy. Ridiculous to even try and explain lulz. I guess you could sum her up in one word --> cute. She has a little browning on some of her lower leaves, but I guess thats kind of to be expected? Her roots are freaking huge...I just dont understand the size and its playing tricks on us. Not sure to flower her or wait? She's so tiny, but her age is basically the same as her sisters. I'm honestly leaning towards taking her and moving her to the single bubbler and putting her in the CFL cabinet we have for a week or so and see how she does. The growth now is faster yes, but not so noticeable as the others...decisions decisions.
Ahhhh yessss! The good stuff. We got our "flowering cabinet" built mostly over the past couple days. Measurements are--> 7' wide x 2.3' deep x 6.5' tall. Basically all we have to do now is cut some holes for the ventilation. Inline fan and the filter are a go. We also are going to invest in a dehumidifier REALLY soon for sure so thats a + Have to run a "beam" to hang the light on and thats about it. We wanna create a mini windtunnel. Intake at one end and exhaust at the other so the air can basically stay moving constantly with little or no help from fans. We still plan on having smaller fans for stalk growth, but thats about it. We gave the plants 26" of space to bush out and 6.5' to grow vertically so it should be exciting to watch. Compact, but justly so. The only way is up SCROG is still up for grabs. We probably will as soon as I get some snow fence or something. Any input on SCROGs would be nice as we've never done one lulz. We do plan on getting another light soon as well. Probably go with another Sun System 2 since we've had great results with it so far. The girlz will be lined up side-by-side and we made sliding doors that go both ways on a plastic track Inside of it is lined with 2mm mylar sheeting. We "ruffled" the corners on purpose. Since we only have the one light so far we wanted some high spots to help keep light out of the corners and bounce back a little easier. Umm....yea..the dehumidifer will be in the closet as well as soon as we pick it up. I'd be happy with 40% humidity tbh. And some would be GLAD to know that we decided to change our next grow over to using COOLERS! So yea things are coming along nicely for us. Another thing...we decided to start flowering tomorrow We were gonna wait another week, but based on how big they are now (all of them are over 12" tall now minus the runt) and they all have AT LEAST roughly 4 weeks of veg time. Kyla has almost 6 weeks so we thought y not? The flowering cabinet should be done in the next couple of days for sure. Tomorrow I'm going to swap out the MH and throw in the 50K lumen HPS bulb I bought I'm going to move the runt and get everything situated with the 3 bigger ones, take at least 1 clone a piece from the 2 bigger females, and give them a 16-24hr dark cycle before the HPS comes on for the first time. Hopefully that'll help them trigger and I can start seeing some for-sure sex results dammit! I hope I covered everything...oh yea, today's nute refresh was the LAST dose of VEG nutes they will be given. The runt will stay on veg nutes in the bubbler until we think she's big enough to flower. Tomorrow I'm going to swap out the MH and throw in the 50K lumen HPS bulb I bought I'm going to move the runt and get everything situated with the 3 bigger ones, take at least 1 clone a piece from the 2 bigger females, and give them a 16-24hr dark cycle before the HPS comes on for the first time. Hopefully that'll help them trigger and I can start seeing some for-sure sex results dammit! I hope I covered everything...oh yea, today's nute refresh was the LAST dose of VEG nutes they will be given. The runt will stay on veg nutes in the bubbler until we think she's big enough to flower.
